JUST ADD INK #132 Sketch Challenge

I need a card for my sister on Saturday as I'm hosting a baby shower for her. It's very exciting really cause we are only 3 weeks apart in our babies being due! I'm soo looking forward to our children growing up together, as this is their first!
So with a card needed I thought I'd check out the challenges and saw that JAI had a sketch one up and ready to be tackled!!
I bought for her some elephant singlets and baby rugs so I went with that theme and found THIS elephant punch art to put on the card. I also went with some of Sarah's favourite colours, being orange and yellow, which is great as they are perfect "non-sex" colours!! To give the elephant a bit more "life" I spritzed him with the grey marker, white gel pen for the eye and toenails and the cute little "baby" tag from the tiny tag set (so pleased that has made it to the new catty!!) The DSP in the background is the Twitterpated and the new Floral District, with the retiring Peach Parfait being the orange.

Here is the whole package now ready for Saturday! I'm super impressed that I'm sooo organized! Wrapped, written in and ready and waiting! YAY!!!

Just Add Ink Scrap #8 Button's and bows

It's been wonderful for me to play with this month's JAI scrap challenge! It's given me a chance to use some of my NEW goodies from the up and coming Annual Catty which is released on the 1st September... YAY!!
For this month we needed to add buttons and bows so here's what I came up with....

This pic was taken of Sophia and I at our local City Park. It was such a fun day I remember and I love this photo of us both, so happy, so precious my little Sophia Mae is!!

The DSP I've used is NEW and called Floral District, the stamp set is also new called Betsy's Blossoms and that groovy wooden button is new too! So fun to play with cool products!! I love doing the Faux ribbon look which I've placed at the bottom of the photo with another one of those wonderful double bows.

The words are from a new set that I've recently bought which has made it to the new catty called FABULOUS PHRASES, I love the font and am really happy with the range it offers!

I have done some other pages with some new goodies which I'll show soon, until then thanks for popping by

Saying goodbye..... Notably Ornate

When I first saw the Notably Ornate set I knew it was a wonderful addition to my collection of stamps! It has a bird, a gorgeous frame piece and a cool oval that can have any greeting in it you want!

I've used the set many a time and the frame especially is great for a soft background of vintage goodness!
With this card the idea came from the Impressions magazine (a monthly mag you get as a demonstrator!) a little while ago. I love the flower made from fabric (this is the Deck the Halls fabric, only $4.95 on the retired list!!!) and the scallop big shot die, adding to the background.

This scrap book page I made for my brother and his lovely wife Clare. I used the oval from the set as the focus for their initials and the gorgeous frame once again in the background on the Top note piece.

Another card I made with this set was actually the show piece for my demonstration on stage at Convention last year. Here is a look back at that.....

Well with only 6 more days till the new catty I hope you won't be disappointed in grabbing those retired list items before they're gone forever!

Saying Goodbye..... Medallion

Today I'm showing you one of my absolute fav's..... Now I know that I've said that a few times now, but really, this is a true GO TO stamp that I've used time and time again!!
I'm talking about the marvelous Medallion background stamp..... oh dear how I will miss it!!
This is the other card that we made at my recent stamp-a-stack, I also used the fabbo Pastels with it (can you believe they're retiring too???!!!) and the greeting is from the Vintage Vogue stamp set, just one more to add to the list of retirees.
I love the roughness of this card, the Medallion speaks loud and clear and really doesn't need much to make it shine, all I've used is some spritz in the background and a beautiful pearl!

Then this page (although it's photographed without the title I made) is a page I took to convention last year! This is all I have of that page, just a picture as any samples you give them for the display board they keep and use (I hope) for super great ideas!!! (hoping that was the case with my efforts here!!)

I gave the title of SUMMER, across the top in the gorgeous Pacific point... can you visualize it?? he he he!
It won't be long now till I can show you some NEW, EXCITING things, but until then don't forget to get those wanted retired list items, they are slowly slipping away!

I'm sure you've had time to look over the retired list..... if not then I'd seriously recommend that you search through it's many pages soon as things are selling out FAST!!! Crimper GONE, confetti white GONE, More mustard marker GONE!!!
This is a favourite set of mine that won't be making it to the new Anual Catty, Vintage Vogue!! It's one of those great sets that has lots of wonderful images for most any occasion!!!

I made this card last year with the cool technique of a torn paper frame, click HERE to see how to do!! I love the sentiment and the colours, river rock is a great neutral to play with. See that little rhinestone brad?? Well come the end of the month say GOODBYE to that too!!

Make sure you contact me ASAP if there are things still on your wish list that you don't want to miss out on, time is certainly of the essence!!

August means saying Goodbye...

It is that wonderful time of the year that we say "goodbye" to some amazing Stampin. Up! stamp sets and accessories!!! It is hard I have to admit, but then it's super EXCITING too because it means that there are new and better things just around the corner......
Still that's not till next month so for now lets focus on some of the MUST HAVE buys in this years retired list....
12"x12" Textured card stock is being completely retired..... no more to be seen in the new catty!
12"x12" smooth card stock will only be available in selected colours (so need to stock up on these too!!)
Single markers will be no longer, they are going back to being sold in their colour families!!
Stamp pads are being re-vamped so if you want to get some cheaper one's now then it's a great time!!!

These are the main things, you should really check out the stamp sets though as your absolute FAV may well be heading off......
If you'd like to place an order or have any questions then please contact me!!
Until next time,
