JAI Scrapbooking challenge #14 - Lace & Ephenera

I was heaps excited to join in on the latest scrapping challenge at JAI as it was totally up my alley! Lace, tickets, charms etc who wouldn't want to have a go?!?
This photo I took of our treasures a few weeks ago, it started with just Sophia and Esther having some "bed" time with Sapphire but then they all joined in and I saw a picture moment!!
I love that Sapphire is holding Ezekiel's finger and all their amazing smiley faces! OH HOW I LOVE THEM SOOOO!! That's where I got the idea from for the Bingo card, YOU and ME = HAPPINESS! So true, I love being a Mum to these precious gifts!!

I had a play with some new goodies from the Seasonal mini, including the lace, love ticket, clock charm & rose trim.

There is lots of texture with the layers of paper, stitching, rough edges, spritzing, smooch glitter and sanding. All in all one of my favourite pages for the year! What do you think??
Check out the other scrapping pages, they really are a talented bunch of ladies at JAI!!

Feeling Sentimental

This is the card that I demonstrated for my Paper Dolls stamp club which was the gift for the hostess. It's the very vintage Phone booth from London that is in the current Sale-a-bration set called Feeling Sentimental.
I used blender pens to water colour the image using Real red and Basic grey. It makes for such a quite project when you use the blender pens as there is no real need to wait for the colours to dry like you'd have to if using the aqua painters. To add some more depth to the image once done I then used my marker to give the darker colour. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I hope my hostess liked it too!

Paper Dolls stamp club {february 2013}

inspiration from new DSP Sunshine and Sprinkles
I started my offical "work" on Thursday night with the start of my first Paper Dolls Stamp Club. It was sooo wonderful to catch up with "my" ladies again and share in what we all love..... Stamping!!
This month I was teaching about Blender Pens and showing of some fabbo new products in the Seasonal Mini. We used both water colour paper and whisper white paper and I demonstrated 3 different ways in which you can use them.

First in the whale card we drew (with the blender pen) in the rainbow, then added the sun and sky with sponges. For the Celebrate card we coloured in the butterfly and rose to add some more depth to the image. (i'll show you the last way of using them, for simply just watercolouring soon...)
I do love the ease and quick drying of the blender pens, no leaks or runs with such controlled wetness, they really make watercolouring fun!

Just Add Ink: Just Add Hearts #152

I'm super happy that the theme for this weeks JAI challenge is to add some HEARTS! I needed a kick up the rear end to get me to make a card for my super Hubbie this year ready for Valentine's day. I've been SUPER busy with school going back and haven't made much time for crafting in the last 2 weeks.
So I got busy doing what I love and came up with this.......

I also like the idea of sending card to others around Valentine's day, who said it just had to be your one true love??? In America Valentine's day goes OFF so I like to spread the love around as far as I can with my special friends!! This year (due to time) I came up with this simple card for my buddies.....

What do you think?? Do you prefer the simple or the Vintage???
If you need anymore inspiration before Feb 14th rolls around then check out the JAI ladies and get making!

Pac-man card

When I opened the new mini set Itty Bitties my son said...
"Oh Mum, look there's ghosts and witches hats and pumpkins, oh MAN!"
(he knows my HUGE dislike for all things Halloween related) but he then went on to say....
"This little ghost looks like the one from Pac Man!!"
DING!!!!
(insert light bulb moment)
Now there's an idea for a great 80's card! I know someone who LOVES the 80's and this would be PERFECT!! (especially with his 40th coming up) So Zeke was sent to the computer to find out the Pac-Man game so I knew what it looked like so I could sew this.....

Then we had to find out what colour the ghosts were, did you know they each have names??? Paper pierce the little white dots Pac-Man eats and make the famous little guy using a small circle punch and cut out his opened mouth!

Lastly the fruit that you win along the way (also in this cutie set!!)

Finished Pac-Man card!!! YAY!!! We were all quite (in the words of Kim) chuffed with the end result!!
What do you think?? I'd love to hear if you too are a fan of the 80's and the very groovy Pac-Man game, it really is Oh SO very fun!

Still AddINKtive, Just Add Ink and SUO Challenges...And that makes THREE!

If I could give you each a card of thanks
this is what it would say!

I was at my first "official" stamping evening last night hosted by the very clever Bron! It was a lovely night of stamping and some of the best bits were:
* I didn't have to organize a thing!
* I went along with my fabbo girlfriend Kim
* There were other wonderful ladies that I knew to catch up with
* I played with some very cool new products
AND
* I was told that I was a TOP PICK over at SUO Challenges for their last challenge!!! (hadn't made time to check back there yet...)
MY OH MY!!!
I was in shock, that means that the last 3 challenges that I entered I was selected as the TOP PICK for EACH ONE!!!
I'm sure you can imagine my absolute delight and excitement and thrill and gob-smackness (I know, not a word but still you know what I mean!) and overwhelmed feelings of THEY CHOSE ME!!!
MY LITTLE CREATIONS!!!
WOW it's such an honor and very humbling in my opinion when there are soooo many other amazing cards that are entered all the time!
SO THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH
