Just Add Ink challenge #251... Just Add Thank you!

I was soooooo excited to think that I just made it in the latest Just Add Ink challenge! YAY! I totally needed a thank you card and so got to work while my treasures were happy playing after their school work.
I found the DSP on my desk which was a scrap and the inspiration came from there...... as you may have noticed I'm totally into adding doilies and flowers and lace on my cards at the moment, oh  and feathers but they didn't suit this one, hee he!

The greeting is from Trust God which works PERFECTLY for whom I'm giving this card to and the inside Thank you is from Another Thank you stamp set... LOVE THAT SET!!
See that gorgeous lacey ribbon... OH MY LOVE THIS, it's from the new mini (page 43) and the colour is stunning!! So there you have it, thanks sooo much for popping by!

Perfectly Rustics Challenge #42 - Little boy/girl

We are having sooo much fun over at Perfectly Rustics and the entries we are getting are wonderful!! So with a new challenge up I hope to inspire you to join with us!
This fortnight we are going with a little or small boy/girl theme, i guess that means under 5 really. I was needing a card for my dear nephew and so came up with this....

I was keen to add an animal of some sort and went with the fox from Forest Friends (such a great stamp set!!) With some washi tape, a Project Life card tucked in the background, a cork number (also available in the Project Life range) and lastly the greeting from Itty bitty banners!! Talk about CUTE!
It's a lot of fun thinking up ideas for those little people. What will you add to your creation?

Case-ing the Catty challenge #19 - SAB

It's Sale-a-bration time in the world of Stampin' Up! and with sooo many wonderful products FREE (with any $90 purchase) there is many a project to case!! CASE-ing the Catty this week is focusing on all the lovely accessories in the SAB flyer. I've chosen the buttons and ribbon (page 4) and added it to one of my FAVOURITE DSP's at the moment.... Stacked with Love (available from the Mini.)

Crushed curry is truly one of my all-time fav colours, oh how I LOVE IT!! When teamed up with black and white it gives such a POP to any project! I've loved how this card turned out sooo much that it's going to be one of the first projects that my Paper Dolls stamp club will make (starting in just a few days... YAY!!)

The flower is made from the Kraft tissue paper and the greeting from Four You stamp set. I'm keen to see this card in the other colours of the FREE SAB pack - Coastal cabana or Calypso coral... YUMM!
Any of them would work such a treat! What will you CASE this week to join in the fun?? Can't wait to see,

Perfectly Rustics challenge #41 - Wings

When you think of wings there are many an idea that pops into your head..... Butterflies, bees, birds, planes, angels... the list goes on and on! What a great idea for a challenge! Perfectly Rustics this fortnight are focusing on wings and we are keen to see your creations!

I went with one of the obvious ones - Butterflies. This being another wedding card I've needed this summer holiday. I wanted it to be regal and elegant so adding gold was top of my list. I do sooo love the little butterfly embosslits folder from SU, it's soooooo versatile!!! Since setting up my sewing machine in a more "let's sew NOW" place I've been doing alot more.... YAY!

Ruffle ribbon and burlap look really cool I've decided (must remember that for future cards...) and layers on the butterflies with some vellum give the butterflies dimension!
I'm sooo happy with how this card turned out, can't wait to actually give it to the newly weds.

CASE-ing the Catty challenge #17 - Valentine's Day

Have you been busy making Valentine's Day cards yet?? I've made some but am hoping to be inspired with some more LOVE with this weeks CASE-ing the Catty challenge!! It's all about Valentine's with case-ing from the Occasional Mini. (though you don't have to make a Valentine's project, just get inspiration from the Valentine's section!)
Of course I need a card for my super man, the love of my life, my bestest bestie EVER!! So with the Stacked with Love DSP (page5) as my base, and the look of that cute little xoxox washi tape treat box (page 4) this is my card:
I recently got the word bubbles framelits which is sooo fun to play with! Washi tape is a must on EVERY card (you know how a good trend is !!) and to add a personal touch I hand wrote the sentiment myself! Have you ever done that?? You should!

There had to be some XOXOX which is also part of the wonderful DSP pack (a must for sure!!)
Clean and simple but full of love xx
Do check out the other team's case-ing, they really are sooo inspiring and get set to play along.

Teenage Birthday invitaions - A girl who's turning thirteen!

Birthdays are a wonderful thing, turning a year older, eating cake, celebrating with family and friends, opening pressies... the list goes on!
But when my oldest daughter turned 13 I had mixed feelings.....
Happiness,
Sadness,
Excitement,
Fear of the unknown!!!!
 ARHHHH we have a TEENAGER!!
So with a special birthday there needs to be special invitations and what better start then that of the Stacked with Love DSP available in the Occasions Mini.

I'm soooo loving this paper!! SO many wonderful choices and patterns and colours!! I asked Hannah to go through it and pick her fav's, this is what she selected.....

With the word bubbles die, some number words, sentiment (both retired from last mini) and a shinning star (after all that is what our little girl is!) I had a completed invite!!

Much to my customers surprise I do actually keep retired stamp sets (ONLY sometimes!! hee he) and this invite set is one that I've had put away for years now.
You need to have matching envelopes when posting such special mail and with all that they were sent out! What tips do you have for "teenage" birthday cards and invites?? I'm sure I'll learn quickly as it seems that more and more they are the cards I'm needing to make!
