May's stamp club Projects - Popping Pastels

With the ending of May nearly here I wanted to make sure I popped in and showed you the projects I demonstrated to my wonderful ladies in Stamp Club.
As May is my birthday month I wanted to showcase things that I LOVE so the cards were full of embellishments and vintage and pastels and tea-cups and Autumn goodness!!
Here they are....

Firstly I went to the lovely French foliage set and made this simple card. I gave it to my sister for Mother's day as she too loves Autumn and leaves and yellow's and oranges.

Then I showed my newest set to my collection the Tea Shoppee (it's in the Autumn/Winter mini!). This card have more of my favourites, especially the colours (love that Mustard on the cup) and more roughing and more Popping Pastels.

Have you ever tried Popping Pastels??? You can see a great tut HERE! It's a very soft look but super awesome for something a little different and a great way to blend more colours in to your stamped image.

Well for those of you flying into Canberra in the next 24 hours, I'm totally thinking of you HEAPS.... I soooo wish to be there at the Stampin' Up Convention sharing in the hugs, the laughter and of course the AMAZING stamping ideas but for this year it's a no-go for me.... so my dear stamping friends, laugh a little more for me and make a little extra noise for the things you LOVE and know that I'd love to be there with you all....

Mother's Day card and gift.... very late JAI challenge

I've had some fun coming up with a lovely card and gift box for my Mum this year for Mother's Day on Sunday. Her favourite colour is blue and at the moment my FAV paper pack is the new one from the Autumn/Winter Mini called Twitterpated. (don't forget the awesome promo for DSP at the moment too, click HERE to check that out!!)
I wanted to do some little paper roses and the rest of the card is really easy! The box is made from my new die cut the Petal Cone, so want to play more with this one!!

I had hoped to join in on the fun over at JAI for this weeks challenge but missed the close off, oh well!! It was nice to try again for a challenge, it's been far too long!!!
I hope that you have a wonderful, laughter filled Mother's Day those of you lovelies that are Mum's!!
See you again soon,

Time for the Titanic

On the 14th April, just a few Saturday nights ago I held a Titanic party in my home. It was for all the wonderful Homeschooling Mum's that I fellowship with each and every Thursday at Home Ed. We try and get together each month for some special hang out time. It's really great and this month we came up with the idea to have a fancy dress party for the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's sinking.
If you know me at all you will know that it's all about the presentation!!! These are pictures of the "tickets" that I sent to each Mum so they could get "on board!"

I then HAD TO HAVE a back drop for the evening and so got busy sketching and then painting the Grand Staircase. It was sooooo much fun to make this come to life, I was really happy with the end result and everyone loved it too! YAY!

I asked my Mum and sister for all their "old" pieces of furniture and accessories to decorate the rest of my home, tablecloths, hat's, old lamps and candles! It was soooo much fun and I had a blast recreating the look of the Titanic and the era of the 1912's.

The fabulous Dress I found at the opp shop, finished off with my sisters gloves
and my Nan's antique necklace.

The other ladies of the evening:
Myself, Andrea, Christine, Cheryl and Amanda

Being a party at my place there was of course.... GAMES! I love games!! We played the Memory game with a whole bunch of old things on a tray that you had time to look and then write down what you could remember from the tray and lastly a Trivia game. All in all it was a wonderful evening with scrummy food (taken from the Titanic menu) and super fabbo company!

My dear Friend

This is a page I made for a calander for my very lovely and wonderful friend Carli, she's not only a super woman but my downline and dearest, bestest buddy!! It's always a good idea to make pages about yourself, looking deep within and liking, even loving what you see! I made this page after seeing the clever Claire do one about herself years ago!!

My dear friend I'm thinking of you today!! I hope that your day and the rest of your weekend is bright and happy and blessed! Praying for you and God's mighty strength to surround you!
What a special lady you are!!!
Love ya heaps beautiful Carli,

Happy Easter... He is Risen!

It is the Easter weekend and we (our family and I) have had a wonderful time celebrating together and enjoying this special time of the year!
We attended a Sunrise service yesterday and then today had my sister and her hubbie over for a scrummy brunch! (love brunch!!) The children also received Easter morning two very cute fluffy bunnies!! Oh sooo sweet!!

This is a picture of the cards I made for just a few special some one's!!
(check out how to HERE!)
It's nice to go with a theme that's not all about eggs and bunnies!!
I hope that this week of holidays is wonderful for you all!!

Sneak Peak for new Mini

Hello fellow lovers of craft!! How are you?? I've been great, enjoying life and of course stamping!! Not that you'd know from the lack of me popping in.... but believe me I still do take photo's of all I make, it's just making the time to post about them!!!
This lovely card I made for my beautiful friend who had a birthday a few weeks back. I had just received my pre-order from the up and coming Autumn/Winter Mini (released next month) and was busting to try out the new bird die!!! Yes lovelies you read right... we are getting a BIRD DIE!!
I used only the wings for this card and then a retired greeting I have from a baby set. The card itself can be found HERE, this is where I got the step by step instructions on how to make.

I was really happy with the end result and hope Amanda loved it too!!
Do remember that it's only days till the end of Sale-a-bration and the Summer mini so if there are things on your wish list do get them before it's too late!!!
Happy Friday and weekend and... well see you soon (ish!!)

Cards for First Paper Dolls 2012

Well it took a little longer than wanted but here are the cards for last months Paper Dolls!!
I've wanted to make the rosettes for a long time and have seen them EVERYWHERE!!! SO I did a search and found THIS great step by step tut!! It was awesome to finally know and then show how to make these wonderful emblishments to my wonderful ladies and so here where the cards they all went home with in Feb....

I love the colour combo of the Sale-a-bration DSP and have taken A LOT of inspiration from them. I also love the sets that Stampin' Up! are offering this year and with the help of friends were able to ink them up too!!

Have you made one of these rosettes?? Do tell if you have??
Happy week lovely bloggers,
