Petal Cone Die Ice-cream Cone-Just Add Ink Winner

My Ice cream cone card that I made with the petal cone die was picked as the Winner over at JAI!
WOW what a buzz!!! It's sooo lovely to be chosen, really it's such a treat to have your creation picked amongst other fabulous projects!

Just Add Ink BIG SHOT challenge and Blog Hop

My little girl has just turned 11! I'm amazed at how completely wonderful she is, such a delight and an abundant blessing in our lives!!
SO for such an occasion we needed a special card and for that I like to turn to a challenge to get me inspired!! This week at JAI the challenge is to use your Big Shot. Ummmmmm....... so many things I could make with that........ We are having an ice-cream theme get together with some of her friends Friday night so perhaps an ice-cream card would be the go........

I did a search on line and found this idea HERE, then with some new DSP to play with (Sunshine and Sprinkles available in FEB) this is what I came up with.

I took my inspiration from HERE for the easel card (thanks BRON, such a super clever lady when it comes to these) and then added Hannah's favourite ice cream flavours. Can you guess what they are??

Chocolate, Strawberry and of course Vanilla (especially Mummy's home made vanilla, yummm delicious!)
At the back is an extra piece to write the birthday greeting and to top it off the cherry is from Button Buddies.

When Hannah opened it she said it was the coolest birthday card.... EVER!! Thanks sweetie, it was my pleasure, I had fun making it for you!

still addINKtinve Challenge #2

There is a new challenge site up and running called Still addINKtive by the very talented craft maker Bron and her lovely friend Kathy. I wanted to join in to support their new adventure and found some time this week while stamping to use the sketch and colour challenge they set!

One Wednesday a month my very fabbo friend KIM has a scrapping night at her home and Jayne and I go along. It's always FILLED with laughter and chatting and a wonderful time of stamping so that is where I began this scrap page for the challenge.
I've had the most wonderful time playing with my new pre-release goodies so again you'll see LOTS of amazing embellishments that aren't available.... just yet!!

This was the first picture taken of our new "bigger" family from last year in November, we were at Holly Bank having a BBQ.

The DSP in summer starfruit is from SAB, the pop tops are coming in the mini, as are the sweet little images insides them! The chocolate chip fancy bits (not sure what to call them really) are from the new Scoring Tool called Simply scored and the then the embossing folder is the new Honeycomb design!! I had to add some doilies and of course a double bow (so loving these!)

The title is stamped with the alphabet set called Morning Post (available from IBC!)

SUO Challenges #62, Vintage Inspired Tea time

 

My lovely team member BRON from addINKtive designs just recently joined in a challenge site that I've not seem before! SO with the them playing with our NEW SU goodies then I was in!!
These are some Vintage inspired Tea time cards that I've just made using some gorgeous new goodies from the up and coming Seasonal catty (released 1st Feb!)

Oh how I love Summer starfruit as a colour, (DSP background called Sycamore Street available in SAB!) and when you add the softness of a doily, some stunning lace trim (from Artisan Embellishments kit) and a sweet little tea cup trinket, you have the makings of a beautiful card for your wonderful friend!

Here is some more pretty scallop lace from the kit and another sweet embellishment- the rose! This time in Rich razzleberry!!

Collage Curious and Soda Pop tops

I've been having some fun over the weekend with my new goodies! Lots of wonderful pre-order items from Stampin' Up's! new seasonal catty that will be released on Feb 1st!
The Soda Pop tops and the stamp set pictured here named Collage Curious were given to me FREE from SU just because I'm a manager! How fabulous is that!! Love my job! :)
The layout for the card is cased from the mini, and the DSP scallop circle is the NEW Sycamore Street that is a FREEBIE with the Sale-a-bration starting on the 24th Jan.

See that gorgeous doily?? NEW and coming soon, along with the pretty linen ribbon! The colour combo is from the DSP which includes Summer Starfruit, Sahara sand, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Tangerine Tango. At the moment I have all these colours on my craft desk so I'm playing with this new colour combo for most of my creations at the moment!
The DSP includes at least 3 of my favourite colours..... Summer Starfruit, Sahara Sand and of course Pool party, then I do love Island Indigo aswell!!! Let me put it this way, it's a great DSP colour pack!! Something for everyone!

Oh, Whale! on a Cloudy Day.

Have I ever told you just how much I LOVE whales.... I'm sure I have!! In saying that I need to also tell you how much I LOVE MY Hobbie!! LOoOoVVvvVE!!!! Who wouldn't like being the one to see all the new products Stampin' Up! are about to release (the new seasonal catty starting 1st feb!) and then getting to play with brand new goodies...... Oh be still my creative juices!!!
So yesterday my lovely posty delivered to my door my PRE-ORDER from the new mini..... YAY!!
Not only did I get to make some cards but I made them with TWO of my favourite things in the world....
Whales and Clouds!
Yes I'm sure Stamin' Up! have made this mini just for ME!! (hee hee) there are whales and clouds and dollies and tea cup trinkets and..... well you'll have to wait till Feb to find out more BUT let me tell you, you're going to LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here is my card using the BRAND NEW (yet to be released) set Oh, Whale! Brand NEW Cloudy Day embossing folder, soooo amazing!! Then to top it off I FREE ribbon that will be released once Sale-a-bration starts, oh and that cute button is a FREEBIE too!

How cute is that Whale, polka dots are always in fashion and the love hearts flowing from him, just perfect for my friends to tell them how much I love them!

Sycamore Street DSP - #241 Creative Scrappers challenge

When I put up our scrapbooking calander this new year I realized that I'd like to see NEW pages, ones that have NEW products used in them (rather than last years DSP and the like)
So with the "ladies room" needing a calander I decided to do one for there! Each month I will make a page with the latest Stampin' Up! goodies that have arrived at my door so not only do I get to enjoy playing with fun, fresh products (including sneak peaks like this DSP here) but I can enjoy my beautiful family while attending to "the call!"
With a kick start needed to get the creative juices flowing, I decided to get a sketch and found this one HERE, by the talented ladies at Creative Scrappers.
