{Sharnee's} 12 Days of Christmas {day 4}

I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this card!!!
It was inspired by the very talented and super sweet Tina over at TravelingMama She has the most fabulous blog with such a variety of delights, craft, travel, creative writing and...well you just need to check it out for yourself, it's awesome!!!! Back in September she made a Christmas card using All in the Family, there was the most amazing arrange of paper in the background and some of this and some of that.... all of which I can't really remember now!! I did talk to Tina and asked for the link but she's taken it off for publication so I can't show you the original!! What I do know is that I loved it and so tried to re-create it for myself!!
Here's what I came up with....How much are you LOVING this Ski slope designer series paper!!! OHhhhh it makes me soo happy!! Especially this particular piece, the swirls and the patterns and the colours all together..... (yes I know it's only paper but a girl's allowed to get excited isn't she?? he he)
I just used my blender pen for this one and water coloured with the ink pads, other than a blush blossom crayon for her face and feet. Cut out the pressie and hat from the accessories set and glued them on! Of course that stunning red ribbon finishes it all off soooo wonderfully!!
Have a super duper day,
Smiles Sharnee :0)

P.S Don't forget to check out Art with Heart by Claire Daly, after all she is the lovely lady that inspired all this Christmas excitement!!! Her projects are amazing!! :0)

A gift for YOU!

{Sharnee's} 12 Days of Christmas {day3}

This is so wonderful to regularly share Christmas ideas with you all!!I'm having soooo much fun and hope that you're getting some really great ideas for your own projects!
Tonight at my Paper dolls stamp club we are finishing our year with some gorgeous Christmas cards. I love all the ladies in my club and will miss them dearly over the Summer break, thankfully some of them are keen to come back again for a 3rd year!! YAY!!! So excited!! As well as some wonderful new ladies that I've meet this year who will be joining me in my home from Feb. So though even now I'm feeling rather teary (yes you could say hormones but really I'm that kinda emotional girl!) I wanted to share some of my absolute favourite card designs with them to say Thank you for all they are to me! :0)
For any of you lovely and super great ladies who may pop over to my blog from my Stamp club a BIG, HUGE and very meaningful THANK YOU for all you are and all you've brought into my life!! I love, love, LOVE our monthly get-together's and appreciate each one of you and your creativeness!!!
Well without any further ado, let me show you my card.....This particular idea popped into my head after seeing the new Your Habitat catalogue, just released for their Christmas promo's. There was a plate in the cat that I loved, so simple and yet so stunning, red with white snowflakes and reindeer's in a row.... LOVED IT!! Isn't it amazing where we can get our ideas from!! And how awesome is white emboss powder!!
Well do come back again tomorrow for day 4 when I show you the second card my club will be making tonight!!
Have a super day/eve where ever you are!!
Smiles Sharnee :0)

{Sharnee's} 12 days of Christmas {day 2}

Here we are on day 2 of my 12 Day's of Christmas and today I have a gorgeous card for you that was inspired by the very talented Dawn McVey. Her blog My Favourite Things is always oozing with such fantastic ideas and this card is no exception!! (scroll down on the link till you get to the 5th picture) She had just released a new stamp set called Vintage Ornaments (oh how I want to buy it but I'm such a loyal and faithful Stampin. Up! customer that I'm not sure that I can!!!) and so I took that idea and used OUR TREE TRIMINGS stamp set which is in the spring mini that ends this month!!
I love how it turned out and am very keen to do some more especailly with the groovy hot pink and cool turqouise that she uses!I hope that you're enjoying my Christmas inspiration, please tell others so they too can pop over and get ideas for their specail gifts and cards!! Until tomorrow...

sweet sunday sketch challenge #42

I am really enjoying these wonderful sketch challenges!! To think that they scared me when I first started, but now I look forward to the it, wondering what I'll come up with and always having fun with the unique layouts!!
Well this one from the lovely Karen- the sweetest thing is super gorgeous!! I really love it!! It's crying for vintage/elegance and with that I turned to my Favourite set Friends 24-7. Oh how I love this set, the flourish especially always gets me excited!! How stunning does it look on the grey....OHHH it's really lovely!!
I even had a little play with my picture today and included some of the stamps that I used. All in the name of fun :0)
So here it is....So LOVE this set!! (I'm sure I've already mentioned that but I really DO!!) To do the bird I Rock n' Rolled it, that's when you stamp it in a light colour and then roll the stamp over a darker colour, you can tell that the head of the bird and the tail are darker! Cool HEY!
Just before I go you MUST check out Art with Heart by Claire Daly. She is doing 12 days of Christmas and WOW her stunning projects will get you EXCITED for sure!! I know I am, to the point that I've been thinking I'd do the same for you lovely ladies who regularly visit my site!! Stay tuned!!
Have a fabulous night

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #15

I've needed a birthday card for Rob this week and with a new sketch challenge from Keesh I thought I'd give it a go!! The layout is really cool, I love working with circles and it's fun to try different layouts then using the same one's all the time!!
As your probably well aware it can be hard to come up with fresh and cool male cards but with the Big Bold Birthday set I always seem to come up with something!! YAY! Love this set!! :0)
Here is my card...

Using blokey colours like the Not quite navy and Close to cocoa really help put it all together!!
I love ribbon so even for my male cards I still need to put something, so twine works great.
I hope he likes it, the kids were very excited singing Happy Birthday to him this morn, so I'm sure that would have helped make his day!!
Thanks for popping by, I'm hoping to do Karen's challenge too, maybe tonight....
