Perfectly Rustics Challenge #26 - Time or clocks!

It's been a YEAR!!! A whole year that the Perfectly Rustics challenge site has been running and we are celebrating with a theme about time or clocks!! We are also introducing a new member to the design team Cathie Borowski!! Welcome Cathie, great to have you part of the team!!
SO here is my take on the challenge.....

I love this stamp from "From my Heart" and it worked perfectly (hee he) for the time challenge!!

Time to celebrate with a Punchart Mustache card!!

Have you seen??? Have you heard??? Have you got as excited as I am about the wonderful, brand spanking new Stampin' Up Catty!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!

 SO to kick off the celebrations of new goodies and inspiration filled pages I've come up with a card for a blokely bloke by using THIS idea,  playing with some Project Life stamps, Delish new DSP (moonlight) and my very own punch art MO!!!

 

Did you know that there is a very special new die in the 2014/2015 Stampin' Up! Catty?? A very trendy, totally groovy, perfect for some fun.... Mustache!!! Can't wait to get my hands on that!!!! BUT until my box of wonderfulness arrives I was in DESPERATE need of a Mo and so became my Punch art Mustache!!

All you need is a butterfly punch!!Don't stress if you can't quite work it out, I'll be back with some step by steps really soon!!Until then enjoy all that Stampin' Up! has to offer in their latest catty!! Whoo Hoo!!

Life in the Forest stamp set - Woodland theme party!

 

Last month I celebrated my birthday and I decided I wanted to have a party!! Why not, i thought!! SO with some inspiration from some of my  favourite things (and stamp sets) I turned to the woods and went with a Woodland theme party!!

I had loads of fun making cupcake toppers, food tags, masks and buntings to help set the mood for the gathering!

It was sooo much fun being out at Holly Bank, eating yummy sausages and lots of sweet treats!! In fact when it came time to leave, we simply didn't want too.....it was one of the most enjoyable times I've spent with those I hold dear for a long time!

One thing is for sure the cute little stamp set (Life in the Forest) which got a serious workout to bring the theme together is in the new catty.... YAY!!! I'm a happy bunny for sure!!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #25 - Starburst

I'm super excited to think that we are up to challenge number 25!!! WOW that's super cool!! For this week at Perfectly Rustics we are encouraging you to make a card (or other creation) with a STARBURST!!! There are sooo many ways you can use starbursts in your projects! I made this one for my postie actually!!! He totally went out of his way to deliver me my new stampin' up goodies on a SATURDAY!!!! Totally amazing!!! He sure deserved a card, and a hug for that matter but I thought perhaps the card was enough!!  hee hee!!

To make this starburst you need some templates, just some rectangles cut on an angle, then place them on your card and spritz over!! (i used some basic black ink mixed with a little water for this card) Wait for it to dry and you have a very unique look!!

The stamp set used is Chalk talk and also the Starburst sayings (that's in the mini but I do know it's going over to the new catty!! YAY!!!)

Perfectly Rustics challenge #24 - Buttons

 

Can you imagine a world without buttons!?!?! Not only is it a fashion must for most clothes but when it comes to embellishments it really is a wonderful crafting goodie!!! At Perfectly Rustics this time we are focusing on the little button!!

 

My "button" inspired page is quite simply really with some punched out honeycomb, fabulous burlap ribbon, twine and of course buttons taking the stage!!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #23 - Inspiration photo

Yay it's time again for some fun at Perfectly Rustics! This time we have a wonderful photo by Colin to inspire us! I LOVE these colours, they are sooo me so I was keen to play along and come up with something great!

I was needing a children's card for a special little someone turning SIX who by the way, is an absolute lover of Lalaloopsy!! Ok Google searching it is...... then I found THIS wonderful example.....

 I added a pet, as my little friend loves cats 

(well all animals really!!)

Made with oval punches, small heart and circle ones!

SOOO CUTE!

 A SIX badge to wear! 

I added little button brads to the eyes for extra detail

Ohhh the hair is soooo fun to make!! Gotta love that colour!!
