Just Add ink #203 add a sketch

There was great need for a special card on Monday for a very lovely friend and as I've said before (and will most likely say again) when needing some inspiration turn to a challenge! JAI had a wonderful sketch to play with so I was off!

I decided to make it a pop-up card to and with a real feminine touch stamped some blue flowers from the Field flowers set. I also used the Sale-a-bration DSP and added some glitter in the middle of the flowers.
I flipped the sketch on it's side and with some other small embellishments my card was complete! YAY!!!

I hope you get to check out the other great ideas this week over at JAI, they always have some great things going on!

Rev up the Fun pop-up card

As promised I have some more pop-up cards to show you! This one is Ezekiel's birthday card using the Rev up the Fun stamp set (which is actually Kim's!! she kindly let me be the first to use it!! Thanks heaps Kim!)
I made the front very simple and then created a ramp for the car on the inside! I used some window sheeting to make it look like the car was jumping through the air! FUN!!
Needless to say Zeke loved it and was very happy to think I used his idea of the ramp (something he thought up for his bunting we made together!) Hope your weekend is starting off to be a great one!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #9 Use DSP {with a pop-up extra!}

Kicking off another challenge at Perfectly Rustics we are wanting to see you do some fancy stuff with Designer series paper!! I've been playing around with it lately making candles, so this is my card for this challenge

It's actually Sapphire's birthday card, she has just turned one! (read more about that HERE) and the DSP I used is the Birthday Basics pack. Just cut yourself a 2 1/2" by 2" piece of paper, roll it over your bone folder to soften it and then roll it up! (kinda like you're making a smoke I've been told!! hee hee) Then adhere the end down and squish it a little along the seem. Place your next bit of sticky strip on the back and place it on your project!! Easy!

Inside it has a pop-up, to be something a bit more special for our now one year old!! I do hope you can join in on the fun at Perfectly Rustics this time, we would LOVE to see your wonderful work!

Just Add Ink #185

There have been a lot of cards needed in this last week, some still needed to be made but for now I have one to show you that I've made for our dear little friend (who lives in NSW) who is turning 7 next week. I knew I wanted to do something with butterflies and make a Pop up card but beyond that I was drawing a blank...... Oh YAY the JAI challenge this week is a great choice of girly colours!!! Cool, inspiration happening!!! Here is my card
and the inside with the seventh butterfly
These colours are sooo pretty together, I'm really liking the combo HEAPS!
I have some more pop-up cards to show you (I've been on a bit of a roll lately) so be sure to pop on in again soon! Until then....
