Scrap and Music challenge #33

I've finally had some time to play with a great sketch at Scrap and Music! It's been a while since I have and to make the challenge even more so I wanted to see if I could make a Project Life page within the sketch!! I just got some new DSP, the Park Lane pack and couldn't think of a better way to crack it then with this challenge!

The words of the song aren't really the ones you'd chose for a family shot but I plucked out "everyday" and that was my title.

I love the Day by Day Project life set, there are sooo many choices with it and that's how I got the months and days to continue the theme of "everyday!"
I hope you like my take on the sketch! It sure was fun working within the Project Life pockets!!

I'm super happy with how it turned out! YAY!! See you all again soon,

Scrap and Music Sketch #26 - Logical Song

It's my birthday month, the wonderful MAY and I was in need of a scrap page with ME in it!! I already have a Mother's Day page for the kitchen calander so with the groovy sketch at Scrap and Music I ended up doing a page just about.... well me!

I've found that pages on yourself are a bit tricky, I'm not sure why, I guess it just seems weird! So I went with my absolute FAV colours ( Calypso Coral, Crisp cantaloupe & Smokey slate,) embellishments (doilies, buntings and vintage) combining it with the words from the "Logical Song" - "Who I am!"

The bunting is made with Washi tape, my flowers with the Spiral flower die and the film strip with On Film framelits. The DSP was my all time fav from the pack of Watercolour Wonder. I like the mix of my own handwriting and the stamped words too!
My amazing sister took this photo of me, I did have one without my giggly face but this seemed to fit more of who I am, Allan agreed too so that was the photo!

Scrap and Music #23 and Just Add ink #206

My super man is camping at the moment and with some "me" time this morning I was able to happily sit at my crafting desk and play along with some challenges!!! SOOO love Saturday mornings!! :)
I always love JAI and the fabbo sketches at Scrap and Music are a fav too so I decided this time to combine them both!! YAY! JAI is all about Sale-a-bration (so I used some of the freebie DSP and the fun coloured twine) while Scrap and Music have the coolest sketch and "Someone like You" song to go with it!!
I searched through the song lyric till I found the perfect words to work with my photo's (of my super man riding his bike) from our recent holiday!
Here is my page......
I sooo LOVE the look of the circles I've created! It's a new thing for me to try, KIM has been doing it for awhile, check it out HERE and I finally today gave it a go!! FUN!!! All I used was the base of my stampin' mist! EASY!

With the background details I actually rock n' rolled my stamp in both Smoky slate ink pad and then my black, stamped off and then stamped on the page. This gave it a much softer look as I didn't want it to be too over-powering! I also dabbed my chevron arrows in the black ink too to add some more grungy depth!  I'm super happy with the end result especially with the POP of colour from the Summer starfruit!

Awesome title (thanks to the song!) and you have a completed page!! Couldn't have picked a better way to start my Saturday morning!!

Scrap and Music #21- Dancing Queen

I have the best time putting together pages with the Scrap and Music challenges!! I just LOVE THEM!! Such a fabbo way to have a title by the words of the song! It's awesome and when you have a FAV pic to work with it all comes together!!
My beautiful Sophia is such a fun little girl and this summer she (and her brother and sisters) have had a wonderful time playing on our skip n' slide. She totally posed for me this day and it's by far one of my fav pictures of the holidays!!
Here is the sketch and my take on the challenge....
Now for some close ups of my best bits of the page...
I watercoloured this butterfly just really roughly,
no need for perfection with this great tech!
The title I stamped with the Simply Serif Alphabet,
then those cute embellishments are from the new mini, they are framelits called On film.
These arrows are from the same bundle set Peachy Keen, with the gold sequin trim (LOVE!!)
those gold hearts in the background are the new printed vellum (LOVE that too!!)
My journalling spot!! Groovy rotary stamp!!
One last close up of the whole page!!
Thanks heaps for popping by and checking my page out, I really am very, VERY happy with this and can't wait to see it on my March calender for Sophia's birthday month!! YAY!

Scrap and Music Sketch #19

More scrapping fun with this groovy sketch and Kiss me song over at Scrap and Music! Sooo love the flags and have been wanting to scrap this page from our holiday back in 2011! Such a funny story, which you can read some of in the journalling!
Here is the sketch

and my page

I used some retired paper and some co-ordinations card stock which I then sanded! (love that look) Loving the new wooden embellishments (available to buy on the 28th) and the new framelits too, this Polaroid look!! Fabbo!!
Lastly the set I used (while stamping at Kim's the other night) was Oh, Hello!! Title done with ABC-123 Outline Alphabet and numbers.

I've had a real blast scrapping so much this holidays, sadly it's all coming to an end with other priorities now to focus on! Still have a couple more to show you though......
Until then,

Scrap and Music: Sketch #17.... Like a Prayer

How about this very groovy sketch and some equally great words over at Scrap and Music at the moment! Well with some scrapping very much needed (it feels like AGES!!!) I got to it with the last few pages I needed for my 2014 calendar!!

I had these totally wonderful pictures of Sapphire and Reuben (our little cousin) and Sarah my sister and I that will be just perfect for my "October" next year! Can't imagine just how much they will have grown in another year, so it will be really special to remember them at one! I just got some super sweet Valentine's gift bags so wanted to use them for sure! I'm also having sooo much fun with vellum and silver at the moment (with all my Christmas cards) and stars have ALWAYS been a fav for me!! SO here are some close ups of my page......
I made this rose from THIS tut and then popped some crystal effects on the edges with my finger and sprinkled silver glitter on! The star row is made with the star die from the Thinlits circle pack!
Here is the sweet little Valentine's gift bags..... I've popped some vellum inside for my journalling and topped it with the bakers twine! Those little silver splatters are with the stamp from Gorgeous grunge and the silver ink pad in the mini!
My title "LIKE A CHILD" is words from the song "like a prayer" and the die here is the Tasteful trim which I've just edged the scallop one in real red and the other is cut with vellum.

I forget about the doilies sometimes, they are such a pretty embellishment and the soft blue buttons all make my page complete!

Scrap & Music Sketch #11

I came across this great scrapping site Scrap & Music when popping in on my very clever scrapping friend Amanda's blog only a short time ago!! Now they are up to sketch 11 and this time it's with one of my all time FAVOURITE songs!!! Sweet child of mine!! Soooo love this song!
So with some more pages and much inspiration needed to complete Zeke's album I turned to it straight away..... of course it's "singing" about a girl but I went outside the box and highlighted the bit I could make it for a boy page!!

Here are some close ups.....
I really am happy with the finished page, in fact it's one of my fav's in the album!! YAY!
Thanks ladies for your AWESOME page ideas, I'll be sure to play along again next time, as I hope you do too!

Scrap and Music: Sketch #10... Time of your life

Next month is a HUGE month for our family!! We will have three VERY BIG BIRTHDAYS to celebrate!!!
So when I saw the Scrap and Music sketch for this month I was keen to capture my wonderful birthday people and scrap it ready for my calender!!!
I'm really in shock that in weeks our sweet little Sapphire Lizzie will be ONE!!! Not to mention that my fabbo Hubbie 40 and our amazing son 10!!!! (even now I'm shaking my head in dis-belief!!!!)
SO here are some close ups of my page......

The Title is done with ABC-123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers
and the journalling with my very old type writer!

Such a great set the Sketched birthday is and the Chalkboard Talk too!

Some rolled candles were a focus at my Paper dolls this month, 1 girlie one and two boy ones!
What a beautiful sketch to play with! Thanks Scrap and Music for the inspiration!!!
