A nice Cuppa - Teapot card

What a wonderful set this is, the brand new one from the Occassional Mini that it - A nice Cuppa (with co-ordinating framelits in a bundle - YAY!)
This card was made for the lovely Kim! I am sooo enjoying getting my mo-jo back and coming up with lovely cards like this! I liked it that much I demonstrated it at my craft group last week. It's amazing how different each card looked with the wonderful designs in the Birthday Bouquet DSP!
The greeting I used is a FREEBIE with any $90 purchase! It features a large JUST FOR YOU stamp along with many sweet greetings, like this one!

If you are into cutting little details then the flowers in this paper are a must for adding that sweet embellishments!

A nice Cuppa - there's always time for tea!

It's time for a cuppa don't you think?? Well at least make a cuppa... CARD! With some time on my hands and some new goodies to play with I made this card for a dear friend of mine who when we are together ALWAYS share a cuppa! Usually at a sweet little Tea shop (in Berry if any of you know the one!)

I cased the idea from page 34 in the new Occasions Catalogue with using the black stamped image and then Popping the colour into the words. The lovely flower is from the new DSP Birthday Bouquet and that amazing gold glitter watercolour look is using a BRAND NEW product (p.24) Glitter brush! YUMM!!

I'm soooo looking forward to getting with some of my stamping ladies next week to do some crafting together! YAY!!!

Twelve days of Christmas cards 2015 - Day 5

On the fifth day of Christmas you may remember that...... it's all about GOLD! Well how about 5 gold houses?!?! While looking through the pages of the wonderful Holiday Mini, the tag on page 13 gave me the idea for this card. I was keen to make loads of sample with my new Jingle all the way bundle and this was one of them.

Again not my usual Christmas colours but black and gold seem to be really growing on me!!
What do you think? Would you like to get 5 gold rings, or perhaps 5 gold houses!! hee he.

Cards and Tags #3 - Snowflake elements & Home for Christmas DSP

Our precious little Sapphire turned 3 last Sunday! Three!! What an amazing member of our family she is, adored by all and very excited to be celebrating her birthday! Of course, like most little girls in this day and age she is a Frozen FAN! If you could get Elsa and Anna cats, sausages and swimming pools (things she has TRULY asked me for!!! CUTE!) then her world would be complete!
My last card and tag combo was for her, a combination of snow and sparkle and Elsa! I made this stamp myself with the retired stamp kit SU once stocked which allowed you to make your own stamps! You can see my other card made with it HERE.

There are some wonderful new goodies in the Holiday Mini including the cute Home for Christmas Designer series Paper and the Snowflake Elements which I used. The sparkle frame is Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and the silver metallic thread another new product to Stampin' Up! The words that I put togetherer for the greeting is from the Happy Birthday Everyone Hostess set. It has great greetings including "to my darling," so I did some cutting and pasting to make up the words "our" and "girl." The Happy birthday stamp I popped inside is also from that great set!

Needless to say Sapphire LOVED her card and her pressie which was a Frozen hopper ball!
I hope you have been inspired to get wrapping and co-ordinate a tag to match your card while all your stamping goodies are out and being used! It's a special way of adding that something extra,

Teenage Birthday invitaions - A girl who's turning thirteen!

Birthdays are a wonderful thing, turning a year older, eating cake, celebrating with family and friends, opening pressies... the list goes on!
But when my oldest daughter turned 13 I had mixed feelings.....
Happiness,
Sadness,
Excitement,
Fear of the unknown!!!!
 ARHHHH we have a TEENAGER!!
So with a special birthday there needs to be special invitations and what better start then that of the Stacked with Love DSP available in the Occasions Mini.

I'm soooo loving this paper!! SO many wonderful choices and patterns and colours!! I asked Hannah to go through it and pick her fav's, this is what she selected.....

With the word bubbles die, some number words, sentiment (both retired from last mini) and a shinning star (after all that is what our little girl is!) I had a completed invite!!

Much to my customers surprise I do actually keep retired stamp sets (ONLY sometimes!! hee he) and this invite set is one that I've had put away for years now.
You need to have matching envelopes when posting such special mail and with all that they were sent out! What tips do you have for "teenage" birthday cards and invites?? I'm sure I'll learn quickly as it seems that more and more they are the cards I'm needing to make!

CASE-ing the Catty #12 Gifts and packaging

YAY it's time for another CASE! We've gone to fortnightly challenges at CASE-ing the Catty and for this week we are focusing on Gifts and Packaging!! My oh MY there is OODELS of pages of inspiration and CASE-ing to be done in the mini!! What to copy first??
I went with the simple gift bag on page 10 using the Petite Cafe bags and the Nature's Peace stamp set (page 26 in the mini.) Of course I added some of my own personal flare with some sequin trim, peg, a tag and an additional tag with "this season and always" which is also in the set!  Oooo you can't go past the Crochet trim to give it a vintage feel!
These are sooooo super easy to do and the Cafe bags are soooooo fabbo!! Did you know they are even lined for those extra buttery hand-baked goodies that will be filled inside them??
Well they are!!! No oozy mess, just yummo yumminess!!!
Come and join us at CASE-ing the Catty this time round, it's a great chance to get started on your Christmas packaging!!

CASE-ing the Catty challenge #11 - Tags

The seasonal mini is out with Stampin' Up! and with that come even more wonderful things to CASE! This week at CASE-ing the Catty we are sharing some tags!! Be it getting ready for Christmas, or simply a tag needed for a birthday, thank you or baby gift we all add tags to our loved pressies!!
You can get a great tassel look with the fringe scissors! I've layered mine with Naturals ivory, Tempting turquoise and the silver glimmer paper.
My tag features the wonderful new stamp set called Four Feathers (it even comes with matching framelits!! YAY!) and the special HOSTESS set that's on offer until the end of Oct!
To create my sequin ribbon I simply threaded the large silver sequins (available in the mini) onto some linen thread, tied a knot and TA DA!!
Hope to see what terrific tags you'll come up with! Join us at CASE-ing the Catty!

Scrap and Music #21- Dancing Queen

I have the best time putting together pages with the Scrap and Music challenges!! I just LOVE THEM!! Such a fabbo way to have a title by the words of the song! It's awesome and when you have a FAV pic to work with it all comes together!!
My beautiful Sophia is such a fun little girl and this summer she (and her brother and sisters) have had a wonderful time playing on our skip n' slide. She totally posed for me this day and it's by far one of my fav pictures of the holidays!!
Here is the sketch and my take on the challenge....
Now for some close ups of my best bits of the page...
I watercoloured this butterfly just really roughly,
no need for perfection with this great tech!
The title I stamped with the Simply Serif Alphabet,
then those cute embellishments are from the new mini, they are framelits called On film.
These arrows are from the same bundle set Peachy Keen, with the gold sequin trim (LOVE!!)
those gold hearts in the background are the new printed vellum (LOVE that too!!)
My journalling spot!! Groovy rotary stamp!!
One last close up of the whole page!!
Thanks heaps for popping by and checking my page out, I really am very, VERY happy with this and can't wait to see it on my March calender for Sophia's birthday month!! YAY!
