Scrapbook page with Best birds stamp set and Floral Boutique DSP {Just Add Ink challenge #324}

There is a wonderful inspiration picture for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge and I was keen to play! I've had this recent photo of our treasures and I that I've wanted to scrap and some new goodies to use so YAY for challenges that help!
I'm LOVING adding touches of gold or copper to my projects and water colouring is always sooo lovely to play with. I was able to use a brand new stamp set Best birds and had fun coming up with "different" colour birds than what you might see in the wild!

The whole background of stripes (which reminds me of the stripy fence in the inspiration pic) is a piece of the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper, soooo pretty!!!

I've popped in some flowers (again due to inspiration pic) and finished it all off with the Title of LOVE using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits (LOVE THESE!!!!!) How sweet are those colours, the Sugar plum, Night of Navy and Mint macaroon work beautifully together!
Thanks heaps for popping by and seeing my take on the challenge, I do so much enjoy playing along with the talented ladies at JAI!!

Flowers for Spring - Petal Potpourri

With the Spring sunshine I've been making lots of flower cards! Oh how lovely all the gardens are looking at the moment!!
This little card is actually a seed packet with matching gift bag that I demonstrated at my Mother/Child class. The girls had the best time stamping flowers and punching them out!

I've used quite a few retired things including the Concord crush card/stock.... do you remember that?? Such a deep purple!! The stamp set is also a retired Stamping Up set but was perfect for this sweet smelling project!
The spiral flower die has helped to create the flowers on the bag, along with some sparkly dazzling diamonds! LOVE! Check out that fun DSP, it's from the School house DSP, just perfect for any occasion!! Talking about school, we are on holidays right now so hopefully I'll be around again soon to show some more crafting goodies!!

Flowers for Spring {in-colours 2015/16}

Isn't a new season a wonderful thing?!! Our first days of Spring have been delightful! Sooo much sunshine, sooo many outside jobs that need doing and sooo much motivation to get them done!
I have some flower cards to show you today, all the same layout but in the yummy new in-colours!
Have you played with any of them?? What is your favourite?? I'm quite fond of Tip Top Taupe, it's a great new neutral, but the Watermelon wonder is really FUN and bright!!! The featured stamp set is You've got this (page 113) and I cased the layout idea from there too!

This is one of the first times I've used the same card idea and copied it over and over in different colours, I'd totally recommend it, what a great way to get your card stocks up!

The greeting is from Trust God which works PERFECTLY for whom I'm giving this card to and the inside Thank you is from Another Thank you stamp set... LOVE THAT SET!!
See that gorgeous lacey ribbon... OH MY LOVE THIS, it's from the new mini (page 43) and the colour is stunning!! So there you have it, thanks sooo much for popping by!

It's Sale-a-bration time in the world of Stampin' Up! and with sooo many wonderful products FREE (with any $90 purchase) there is many a project to case!! Crushed curry is truly one of my all-time fav colours, oh how I LOVE IT!! When teamed up with black and white it gives such a POP to any project! I've loved how this card turned out sooo much that it's going to be one of the first projects that my Paper Dolls stamp club will make (starting in just a few days... YAY!!)

The flower is made from the Kraft tissue paper and the greeting from Four You stamp set. I'm keen to see this card in the other colours of the FREE SAB pack - Coastal cabana or Calypso coral... YUMM!
Any of them would work such a treat! What will you CASE this week to join in the fun?? Can't wait to see,

SUO challenges #95 featuring flowers

There are loads of wonderful challenges around at the moment, especially involving flowers!! SO here I have made a card for my dear friends birthday with exactly that!
I used the off cut piece of the Apothecary die as the main piece on my card, stamped a few splashes of silver gorgeous grunge and added some ribbon and silver paper to make the rose look like a winner's pin! Add a large pearl to the center (my rose is made using the new spiral die and some co-ordinations card stock then sanded!) and lastly paper piercing in the shape cut out!! YAY I LOVE co-ordination!!

Quite an easy card really but I'm super happy with how it looks!! Go and check out the amazing creations at SUO challenges and be inspired!! Just in time for Mother's Day!!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #21 - 3D flowers for Mother's Day

Hello wonderful people!!! How was your Easter?? Mine was totally fabulous, one of the best for a long time! YAY!!!!
But can you believe that we are now turning our thoughts to the next event (of course there is Anzac Day in there too) which is Mother's Day!!! WOW then we will be in MAY! The year is going quickly!!
Kim and I from Perfectly Rustics have thought about what we love about Mother's Day and one thing that came to mind was Flowers! So for this challenge we want you to come up with a super flower project, card, scrap-page!! But not any old flower, it must be 3D!!!!!
Here is my inspiration for you.....

I found this great box idea HERE and also loved the look of a gorgeous flower bag HERE so decided to combine them both with my "Sharnee" touch of course!!
these are the side veiws

Have you used the Spiral flower die?? Oh you MUST!!! It makes the most divine flowers and every time they are slightly different- just like the real thing!! My roses are made with some co-ordinations Primrose cardstock and a blushing bride one too.
I hope you give this challenge ago, we sure can't wait to see all the wonderful things you come up with!!

Runway Inspired Challenge-ric#55

I came across this really cool challenge site called RUNWAY inspired challenge!! WOW they take these amazing dresses and the like from the "runway" and then inspire you to make a project from it! AWESOME!
I totally LOVED this challenge with the shimmery dress and the black detail and so with a card needed for my lovely friend's birthday this was the beginning!! Here is my take on it:

I think the other thing I loved about all the glam and fanciness was the fact that she is performing (along with heaps of other talented people) at the Princess Theatre RIGHT NOW in The Phantom of the Opera (here in Launceston, Tasmania!!) WOW OH WOW!!! I went to see it last night and it was TOTALLY OUTSTANDING!!! It's Amanda's first ever show and she played it beautifully, this was certainly a fitting birthday card! Now for the inside where I carried some more of the loveliness there too....

I hope to join again with this new found challenge site for me, it was really cool and very inspiring indeed!

Flowers, ribbons and thanks!

What girl doesn't like ribbon and flowers?? I know they are up there in things I love and with the wonderful colours of SU's latest in-colours these ribbons are sooooo pretty!!!
So with some gifts of thanks needed I put together a ribbon share and presented them all pretty in a quick and easy bag with a DSP topper! Add a flower using the core'dinations primrose petal cardstock (sanded to add a lift) a pearl for the center, stamp a thank you and your gift is complete!!

Scrap and Music: Sketch #17.... Like a Prayer

How about this very groovy sketch and some equally great words over at Scrap and Music at the moment! Well with some scrapping very much needed (it feels like AGES!!!) I got to it with the last few pages I needed for my 2014 calendar!!

I had these totally wonderful pictures of Sapphire and Reuben (our little cousin) and Sarah my sister and I that will be just perfect for my "October" next year! Can't imagine just how much they will have grown in another year, so it will be really special to remember them at one! I just got some super sweet Valentine's gift bags so wanted to use them for sure! I'm also having sooo much fun with vellum and silver at the moment (with all my Christmas cards) and stars have ALWAYS been a fav for me!! SO here are some close ups of my page......
I made this rose from THIS tut and then popped some crystal effects on the edges with my finger and sprinkled silver glitter on! The star row is made with the star die from the Thinlits circle pack!
Here is the sweet little Valentine's gift bags..... I've popped some vellum inside for my journalling and topped it with the bakers twine! Those little silver splatters are with the stamp from Gorgeous grunge and the silver ink pad in the mini!
My title "LIKE A CHILD" is words from the song "like a prayer" and the die here is the Tasteful trim which I've just edged the scallop one in real red and the other is cut with vellum.

I forget about the doilies sometimes, they are such a pretty embellishment and the soft blue buttons all make my page complete!
