Sprinkles of Life Stamp set

One of the benefits of being a SU lady is the amazing conventions that you can attend! This year it was in sunny QLD and I was able to go along in ..... MY pajamas!!!!
How? You Ask?
Well the wonderful people at SU did the general sessions as a stream (just a couple of hours after) so the children and I sat in the lounge room, happily watching the ladies on stage at CONVENTION!!! It was very cool indeed, we all got a giggle out of it, sitting there in our pj's, watching, learning and being "wowed" by the great samples.

One of the sets shown was the new Sprinkles of Life. Sarah (Shellie's daughter) demonstrated this one and the AMAZING things you can do with the set. I fell in love with it (especially the fact that it has a cloud and a tree in it, with a matching punch too!!! YAY!!) and had to CASE her card designs.

The raindrops look so fun by using different coloured papers
and then adding a hint of silver to compliment the sentiment on the card.
The cloud is done with silver embosing powder!

I used the dainty little flower stamp to create a background and embossed the main flower image, then coloured it in, adding pearls for some bling!
The basket handle look is created by using the candle stamps....SO COOL!

Fun shaker card with the apples going into the basket!! SOooo clever!
Note you can make a bigger tree with the set too,
OHHH the possibilities!!!

Tree image can also be used as a branch
and the foliage as a nest for the sweet little bird

Sarah showed that making the ice-cream water colour
gives it a vintage feel, just like a colouring book.
Then if you stamp on tissue paper you can make a waffle cone look!

Like I said, her cards were WONDERFUL and were most certainly screaming to be cased!!
What are your fav sets in the new catty?? Love to hear from you,

Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit - Cards

Have you seen the wonderful Calendar Kit?? It was actually in the last mini and made it over to the MAIN CATTY!!! YAY!
I held a calendar class with my stamp club so we could ALL make one, it was a really fun time with lots of ideas of how to decorate and the occasional mistake when not realizing that each printed page has the EXACT days for each month!! What does that mean?? Well I happily stamped and demonstrated "February" on a 31 day page, and June on the 28th page!! Be sure to check your pages before stamping!!

There are HEAPS of wonderful bits of stamping candy left over in the kit which can be easily used to make cards...... I've just come up with 2, but there is OODLES more that you could do!

What have you done with your left over bits??? Love to have you share your ideas,

Thinking of YOU!

Every Monday my children for their writing, write a letter to one of their pen pals. Then we usually ride up to the shop and post them! I love getting letters, well especially cards in the mail and so I take up the opportunity to write out some cards too. This week I wanted to send a little something to my lovely Friend Anna whom we stayed with when on holiday.
It is a mix of old and current Stampin Up products with one of my favourite theme's the Bunting!
Enjoy!

Embellish magazine Strips colour trends challenge

Oh it's been awhile since I've played with the fabulous challenge over at EMBELLISH but I made time to join in with this inspiration

I needed a card for my son's best friend who's turning 8! When I thought of the strips it made me think of races and somehow from there a snail race came to mind! he he!!! So of course if he's turning 8, then the number 8 snail had to win and so here became the inspiration of my card!

What do you think??
Notice the winning snail with a smile? Cute, even if i do say so myself!
Thanks sooo much for popping by, do check out the other wonderful creations, the design team are super talented!

My love for Buntings

Well it's been awhile hey!! SORRY! In light of the up and coming convention to pay for I've had to get some workshops on my calender and so with that and designing and living and teaching the time to blog certainly hasn't been top of the list!!!
So I'm here to show you the fun cards that we made last Saturday night at my Stamp-a-stack! I had a lovely group of ladies come and share the eve with me and then go home with 10 cards like this....
and also this...

Do you like Buntings??? Ohhh I really DO!!! They are just so much fun and you can use them for ANYTHING!!! These were easy cards, all you needed to do was cut small triangles from the DSP, tape them down with some linen thread underneath! Stamp a greeting and PRESTO!
I love the little flags, they're so happy :)
Hope your weekend finds you happy and well!

Embellish Quirky - Cutesy, Clean style

The name of this challenge says it all..... how cool is the word "quirky"!!! I'd like to try and use it more.... maybe I will this week as a word challenge! HE HE!!!
Anyhow I had time to play along with this one and was most excited on Saturday morn when I whipped this little number up.....
but before we go there here is the inspiration picture from EMBELLISH....

Ohhhh it's screaming spring to me! I love how close it is now, some days you can feel it in the air, and the blossom's are already starting to shine......

So here is my quirky, cutesy card!

Note the button!?! There is that saying "cute as a button" so how could I NOT include one!
I love this little deer (which is coming back in the new catty next month) and the dotty frame is a very loved stamp from Frames with a Flourish! This beauty is retiring so make sure you DON"T MISS OUT AND ORDER ONE FOR YOURSELF!!!
It's been great to play and say HELLO!! I've thought of you often but time has been used for other things..... I look forward to saying HELLO again soon!

Just Add Ink Challenge #23

Paper is one of those things that you can easily become a collector of! I know many a fabulous girl that buys packets and sheets of beautiful, gorgeous paper just to add to there already 100's of pages at home! Then when it comes time to use it..... well it's just TOO pretty to cut up!!
I'm sure you've all been there........ I know I have!! :0)
So with the challenge at JUST ADD INK to use DSP, I pulled out one of my favourite packs and reluctantly but in the end happily cut a bit of this and a bit of that and made myself a fun, happy, sunshine filled card!
I'm trying to work out how to use a brayer, so here I made some green grassy looking background with the lovely blue sky! I LOOOVE how the brayer doesn't go into those fabulous little stitch marks, it's a really great effect!
Here's a close up:

Even the wing is some DSP!
I hope that this post finds you happy and chirping "HELLO!!"
