Thoughtful Branches - release date 2nd August

There is a wonderful new set to be released next month for a limited time and this is a sneak peak...
It has soooo much potential and is versatile for Birthdays, Sympathy, thinking of you and even Christmas!!
I held a stamp-a-stack last week and my lovely ladies got to play with it first hand!
Here are the cards we made....

The inspiration for the bird card was from Stampin' Up! headquarters as a card idea for workshops!! Thanks Stampin' UP! for making that easier!! The You're in my thoughts card was from ME!! Pleased to see I still have the creative spark, sometimes it feels quite dim! hee he!

I'm loving what you can do with this set and look forward to showing off some more of my creations in the next few days!! Remember at the moment for every $50 you spend you receive a $5 bonus voucher to spend next month!! Be a super way to buy this exclusive set as of the 2nd!! YAY!

Pretty packages with Sunshine Wishes thinlits

When you have out your stamping goodies do you make some extra treats while you are at it?? That's exactly what I did here, you may notice it's using Washi, the heart die and some of my other "go to" fav's to create this quick tag for a recent gift! EASY and lovely all in one!
Love pretty packages tied up in string!

Quick and easy card with Sunshine Wishes Thinlits

WOW I've been busy! What a wonderful holiday time we all had and then with my weaving being the perfect Winter craft, sitting in my office to blog has been, well uninviting!! BUT I have been making cards too and lately really quick ones!

This card was for my friend who has had a really hard year and I just wanted to send some LOVE and HUGS! How PREFECT is the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits for that!!!! SPOT ON!!! LOVE THEM!!!

Washi is a total FAV too and adds some fun interest to any card! Have you seen the new thick bakers twine?? This is the night of navy twine, sooo lovely with mint macaron!!

Love the Sunshine Sayings Bundle!

When I played with the sunshine wishes framelits and the JAI sketch the other week I also went on making this card! I really like the washi tape words and this washi from the Affectionately Yours set is my fav!
It's quite a simple card but that means I get them done quicker!! Oh and how lovely is the new Copper thread?? Such a perfect embellishment!
It's holidays now and there WILL be crafting time, cards and weaving are the priority... (I'm hoping!)

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge #315 - Sunshine Sayings stamp set

I can't believe that I've finally got around to joining in on the Just Add Ink fun!! WHoo HOO!! It's only taken ALL YEAR but here it is, my first entry for the year with the wonderful, talented ladies at JAI!!
I have some new goodies I was hanging to ink up and play with and a card that needed to be made for a lovely lady here in the Village! You could call her the Mother of Poatina, she is sooo special! So for a special lady there needed to be a special card! I used washi tape for the framelit greeting, the new copper twine for some delicate detail, faux suede delightful Dijon cardstock, a panel of shimmer white cardstock which I watercoloured with the Dijon then stamped the watercolour image (also from the Sunshine sayings set) in Cherry cobbler! Oh and my fav at the moment, the Gold glitter pen on the flower to highlight some "petals!!"
Hey I even stamped the inside too, added another framelit, this time the flower with the same copper washi tape and followed the greeting from "Love and Hugs... on one more year! Happy Birthday!" Wow this set has some super great sayings!!
The sketch was fun to work with, I've flipped it on the side and will certainly do this layout again!!
YAY, so there you have it! Thanks heaps for popping by and checking out my take on the challenge! Hopefully it won't be sooo long before I join in with the JAI gang again!

Gold Thank you!

There seems to always be an occasion on which we can say thank you! Thanks for doing the washing, ( a job I really like help with!) thanks for having the children, thanks for all the work you did, thanks for being there as a friend, THANKS! This card is for a wonderful guy who's spent countless hours in the village here in Poatina writing curriculum and getting some old school buildings ready for students next year!

I thought that GOLD would be a wonderful touch for this thank you card and with some old DSP it all co-ordinated fabulously!! Love Stampin. Up! for that!! I embossed the Thank you and added some rustic embellishments, water coloured the background and splattered some of the sparkly gold glitter brush for good measure! OH I even stamped the inside!!

Due to the size of the card I needed to make an envelope to match, YAY for the envelope board!! Card complete, ready for all to sign and share their thanks!!
Do you have a stash of thank you cards ready to give?? I think it would be a super idea to have a pack ready to go! What a kind way to show someone your appreciation with a homemade thank you card.
