Paper Dolls stamp club - DIY nest {july projects}

With August nearly over I thought I'd better show you last months Paper Doll projects I showed in my stamp clubs. I wanted to showcase the wonderful new Backyard Basics stamp set and have a play with the colour theme from the Soho Subway Suite.
For my first card I took the inspiration straight from Convention!! (sooo love their displays this year) Inside an old printer box they had made a nest similar to this one....

Then I wanted to do a male card (as they can sometimes be tricky) with the wonderful little bee. It was inspired by my get well soon card I made HERE with some tweaking!

To make the nest it's easy peasy, just cut thin strips of desired cardstock (I used early espresso) then roll into a ball-like you are making chocolate balls then spread out a little till you're happy with the size!

I put LOTS of sticky strip on the card itself and then stick down the "nest" to that!! If you have some fly away pieces then just snip them till you're happy!!!
What do you think?? Let me know if you give it a go, I'd love to see!!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #5

I'm here to show you this weeks challenge over at Perfectly Rustics!!! YAY we are up to challenge FIVE and this time it's a scrap booking sketch challenge done by the clever Kim!

I wanted to use some of the very easy to use tags from the Tag a bag accessory kit and keep things quite simple (not my usual vintage style)

This photo was taken by our sweet daughter number 2, Sophia a few years ago. We were at a concert in the local City Park! I love the picture and am soooo happy with how it's turned out!
Used a few different sets to highlight how wonderful I think my hubbie is..... Hello Lovely and You're Amazing. The colours are Gumball green, Crumb cake (that delish piece of DSP that's embossed!!!) whisper white and lastly Bermuda bay!!

How cute are those pegs?!?! They come in the kit! Ooooo sooo sweet! Hope you can play along with us this time round, I'd love to leave you some comment love on your wonderful project!!

Super Steffie!! Wonderful, fun lady, first time to camp and doing her scrapping thing!
Terrific Trish! Team member and had the best time making and creating cards!

This and That journal - more convention memories cont.

I'm just popping in to share some more of my convention journal with you, there are still sooo many pages that I can't wait for you to see, so here are the next one's!! We were SOOOOO excited to be getting our hands on the BRAND NEW CATTY!!!! My oh MY!!!! Soooo amazing!! Then over lunch I sat down and started to flip through it (that's the opposite page)

Kim posed for my phone so we could sms all my team and show them....... I love the little word speech clips that you can buy and i think that making little pockets for journaling is a niffty way to say more than what can fit on the page itself!
Next is a do-it-yourself that I took while Sapphire and I were walking around the streets of Brisbane, everyone commented on how sweet she looked, which of course she is!!

Then here I made a groovy pocket/bag for some photo's of friends and I. It was a demonstration on stage (by whom now I'm not sure.... sorry!) but it was totally AWESOME and it's made with the brown paper we get in our orders!!! Of course you could easily make it with any type of paper!! Soooo clever!

It's that time for another fun challenge at Perfectly Rustics!! It's another sketch that Jayne put together and here is my take on it!
I'm really enjoying adding some glitter to my projects at the moment! After all it's actually on trend to add some gold so while it's hot out there in the crafting world I'll keeping using it!

At stamp club this month I showcased the wonderful colours in the Venetian  Romance suite. So LOVE those colours..... Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio pudding, Island indigo, soft Suede and Very vanilla! YUMM!!

We'd love to see your entries this fortnight, it inspires us as well as others!!

It's sooo quick and easy and with the journal already pretty with paper, just adding the stickers and some Washi tape it's fun to put together! Here is my next two pages.....
Sapphire and I, all loaded up and some of the tickets from our MEGA trip on the Wednesday

DAY ONE! My convention chicky Kim and I!! I love this photo!! I love my dear friend Kim!! I'm sooo thankful and pleased that she is part of my team, part of my life, part of my close circle of friends!!

This and That Journal - my convention memories

Have you seen the groovy This and That Epic journal yet?? Each one of my customers who sees it is HEAPS surprised at the fact that there is DSP for each of the pages.... it's soooo pretty and all ready to go for capturing your memories!!
I decided that I wanted to remember my time of convention this year, especially the fact that I took Sapphire with me, and it was just the two of us! Here is my front cover (which you can decorate any way you please!)

Now for the first pages, this was my "brag" section to show off my fabulous family to all those who couldn't believe that Sapphire was number FIVE!!

First page is Sapphire on her very first plane trip! Oh how she had a blast!! She especially loved the emergency folder!! Made a great toy for the flight!

Then came the moment when we got to say HI to Shelli herself! What a lovely lady she is!! We chatted about children and she showed me some photo's of her grandchildren on her phone and then we had a picture!! SMILE!!!

Lastly this was the Managers reception at the Brisbane convention center with the gorgeous backdrop of the Wheel all light up! Soooo pretty!!! The tag there was on my groovy film case that all the managers received after the yummy dinner! I wanted to include it in my book.
I'll show you some more of my journal again soon! Until then be sure to have a super weekend!
