Cards and Tags #3 - Snowflake elements & Home for Christmas DSP

Our precious little Sapphire turned 3 last Sunday! Three!! What an amazing member of our family she is, adored by all and very excited to be celebrating her birthday! Of course, like most little girls in this day and age she is a Frozen FAN! If you could get Elsa and Anna cats, sausages and swimming pools (things she has TRULY asked me for!!! CUTE!) then her world would be complete!
My last card and tag combo was for her, a combination of snow and sparkle and Elsa! I made this stamp myself with the retired stamp kit SU once stocked which allowed you to make your own stamps! You can see my other card made with it HERE.

There are some wonderful new goodies in the Holiday Mini including the cute Home for Christmas Designer series Paper and the Snowflake Elements which I used. The sparkle frame is Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and the silver metallic thread another new product to Stampin' Up! The words that I put togetherer for the greeting is from the Happy Birthday Everyone Hostess set. It has great greetings including "to my darling," so I did some cutting and pasting to make up the words "our" and "girl." The Happy birthday stamp I popped inside is also from that great set!

Needless to say Sapphire LOVED her card and her pressie which was a Frozen hopper ball!
I hope you have been inspired to get wrapping and co-ordinate a tag to match your card while all your stamping goodies are out and being used! It's a special way of adding that something extra,

Cards and Tags #2 - Sprinkles of Life & the Bokeh technique

Here is the second card and matching tag that I made in the last week for a very, sweet little girl. I went with the very versatile Sprinkles of Life stamp set, it even has a matching punch and is oozing with fabulous images and words only limited by your imagination!!
Way back when the catty was new, Sarah the new CEO of Stampin' Up! (Shellie's daughter) showed a wonderful way of water-colouring the ice-cream image to make it look more vintage style. She also added texture to her cone to give it more of a waffle look so that's what I did here too!

The background is done in the Bokeh technique, awesome videos HERE and HERE which I LOVE with the softness of the ice-cream! I recently taught this technique to my Paper Doll stamp club and they were thrilled with the WOW results!
The tag is simple with all the sparkle and fun from the card. Doesn't a bit of scallop trim just finish a project off?? One of my fav trims, must do it more again!
Well that's number 2 idea, one more to show you soon.....

Cards & Tags #1 - Celebrate Today

We have just celebrated 3 birthdays here in our family, so the crafting desk has been busy! I love to make pressies look really inviting to open with all the twine and ribbon and of course a tag to match!
Here is the card and tag I made for Allan's birthday (my super man!) I had some wonderful scraps of DSP on my desk and was inspired to make a hot air balloon with them, after all they are MY favourite!!

The Polaroid film frame is a retired goodie, confetti white cardstock as well as the DSP, but the balloon stamp, washi tape and greeting is all VERY current SU products! Celebrate Today is the featured stamp set I used. The cloud background is easy to do, just punch out some scallop circles pop them together and sponge blue over them! Sky with clouds!!
Look out for my next card and tag combo soon!
