HELLO!!! How are you fellow lovers of stamping?? I hope that your week is wonderful! I have had a busy week thus far but in saying that it is a good one!
I was super excited when I saw this challenge and had to make 2 male birthday cards for the weekend festivities!!! In saying that all my "die cuts" looked quite "girlie" and I was for a moment stumped at what I'd use. Then thanks to Bronwyn's amazing owl tag I thought I'd make a tag too and slide it in the wonderful pocket die! YAY!
My amazing hubbie had his birthday on Saturday and also a friend had one just Monday, I made both the cards different but using the same sorta style......
Here is Allan's
Now for Andy's
I cut the top of the scallop envelope and then added it to the tag for a border on the side, the rest was just using some retired DSP and having fun with spritzing and sponging and other rough ways to add texture to a card!
Do you have trouble making Male cards??? What do you like to add to yours?
Do make sure you check out the amazing creations over at JAI you'll be inspired FOR SURE!

Hi Sharnee :)
love your idea of adding the tag to a little envelope on the card. And what fabulous texture and inking you added to give that great blokey feel. Glad you find the time to play along this week!

PS: Totally agree with you on loving Cajun Craze!
What a great idea. I love the rough texture created by the ink and your tags popped inside the little envelope. These are good examples of 'masculine' cards. I tend to use twine and metal eyelets or distressing for male cards. :) Thanks for joining in with the JAI challenge this week.
These are both great Sharnee! I always struggle with masculine cards but you make it look easy. I will have to remember to try Cajun Craze next time!
Sharnee these are great masculine cards with a tag that could also be used as a bookmark if your male recipients are in to reading. Must ink up my Cajun Craze again too! Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink this week and ending off our challenge entries of Just Adding a Die Cut! ♥
What great, grungy (or is that grunge-y??!!) cards, love. I tend to overlook More Mustard, but I agree it looks great on a guy's card! I love making cards for men and boys (probably out of necessity, since I'm surrounded by them, LOL). I like sponging, tearing, using twine and jumbo eyelets ... oh, and Extreme Elements is my go-to stamp set.
These look amazing Sharnee, thanks so much for sharing them!! Bec xx
