Bush dance party invitations!

 

I've been busy preparing for my 40th birthday next week! Oh my, I'm a little in disbelief that that's actually going to be my new number.... the 30's are such a great age..... I'm hoping that the 40's are even better!
I must admit that now more and more people know that I'm turning 40 I'm "owing" it much more than if you had of asked me in Jan! That's got to be a positive right???
Well if you know anything about me then you know that I LOVE a THEME!! So for my BIG ONE I'm having a Bush Dance! Yee Haw!! I'm sooo super excited about it all, the band is booked and the invites are out, now it's just the little things to finish.
I wanted to stamp my invites but with sooo many bits of info I put my son to the task and he came up with this.....

 

Clever boy he is on the computer!! This was the invite that inspired and he tweaked, added and created to make me this fabbo invite! I love it!! What do you think??

Of course they needed to be wrapped up and sent out with love, so a little bit of burlap ribbon and some native bush did the job nicely!

Autumn scrapbook page - Vintage leaves

 

With the Autumn season well upon us I wanted to share with you a scrap book page I recently made ready for my annual calendar I make each year. This photo of our precious girls is a good few years old (see more about it HERE) but is one of my favourites!

 

The main set used on this page is the very Vintage Leaves! Ohhhh such an amazing set and guess what???
It's continued over to the brand new catty (released on the 1st June!)
The splashes of gold there are created by using the gold glitter brush from the mini!! Love those glitter brushes!! I've also brushed over the leaves a little too for some more sparkle effects.

Some circles of Dsp and other wooden embellishments and you have an Autumn page! YAY!!

Shine On: Birthday cards!

 

I can't even remember the last time I held a stamp-a-stack..... at least not this year!! So when I saw THESE gorgeous, simple cards, full of fun and great for boys & girls then I knew I had to do some serious casing and have a get together!! I'm not sure if you've heard of the #i'mbringingbirthdaysback movement started by Shannon... story of all that HERE but it sure is a super reason to make cards, and then SEND THEM to those you love!! Who doesn't love some snail mail?? (even slower now with the recent changes but it's not called snail mail for nothing... RIGHT!!??)

A Nice Cuppa - Mother's Day Card and gift bag

 

Have you made your Mother's Day card yet?? I'm pleased to say that I'm super organized and have it in the bag! Haa!! I have a card and gift bag (bag idea from HERE) and now all I need to do is make some home-made chocolates and I'm ready for Sunday!!

How wonderful is this set?!?! I love the little spoon and the swinging tea bag tag! What things will you be doing for your Mum this year?? Will you make her card with her favourite colours?? That's why I've chosen blue, My Mum's FAV!! (and so is chocolate!!)

Cats and Holiday crafting....Some of my favourite things!

 

Cats and craft, certainly some of my favourite things! (though there isn't much room for the crafting bit right about now.... hee he!) Hoping that by the end of the holidays there will have been HEAPS of crafting goodness happening right here! Cobweb and Chokolait sure like the set up!

When Chokolait had a turn she was too interested in all the fun bits on the table!

 

Teenage boy card and diy gift!

 

When you are needing a cool teenage BOY card what do you do?? What is the first thing you KNOW that you will add, or the colour/s that you will choose?? I'm guessing that I'll be a pro at teenage boy and girls cards as the years unfold and my children grow older! This card was for Zeke's friend who was turning 13!!

 

 

We handmade a gift, this cool cushion for him and with the funky font that Zeke found I decided to continue with the theme and add that to the card! Blockhead Alphabet is the star, well the triangle of the card (now a retired set) and with some simple vellum for the number and twine the card was done!

The cushion was such a hit that Zeke was keen to have one also.... guess what he got for Easter? (Instead of LOADS of chocolate!) His own "Wake up and Be Awesome" cushion!!

A Nice Cuppa - Some more tea cards

 

You have heard it before I'm sure but there really is always time for tea, especially when you are stamping with the A Nice Cuppa stamp set from the occasional catty at the moment! Pop it together with the Birthday Bouquet DSP you have a nice brew!!

 

 

I'm looking forward to having a nice cuppa with my wonderful friend Carli this week as she and her family stay with us this week - YAY!!
