I'm really enjoying the opportunity to make cards again, especailly with such fabulous challenges to enter in! This latest one from Embellish Magagzine was great as it was using some of my favourite colours!!Do you ever find yourself before getting started on a card wondering what would be the best look, what layout to use, or perhaps how can you make this different from sooooo many other cards you've already made?!! With all that in mind I went to my scrap box! Oh how I love what comes out of that box! Strips of this and pieces of that all come together to create a wonderful card!
I have lots going on with my little birdie, strating with the "Scribble This" wheel which was cleared embossed. Then I layered with various stamps and did some popping pastels, sponging and rough edging on my ink pads. I didn't know if I wanted an eye and after various buttons and brads I found the pearl, YAY that's it!!! Ribbon down the side as a bit of a feature, a greeting and there you have it!!!I hope you've had fun with your latest project! What was it??

he does have a lot going on...but it's totally working for him! i love the vintage type feel with the handmade pattern, colors and the accents!
