Just Add Ink challenge #241 {Yoda Punch art!}

I was needing a card for a six year old who loves Star Wars.... where do you go?? Just Add Ink is the answer with a really groovy sketch - YAY!! I have been wanting to make a punch art Yoda for a long time and so finally made the effort, sat down and with inspiration from HERE made my very own Yoda!

(My Son thinks he is..... sooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!)

I thought that the shiny stars in the background would be a nice touch and I loved the placement of the greeting on the sketch! I'd have to say it's a pretty cool card (if I do say so myself!) I'm keen to know what the birthday boy thinks when he gets it..... once across the straight... let's hope the force is with me!! hee he,

Feathers and a scrapbook page for Once Upon A Sketch

I don't know what I would do without sketches, WOW they totally save the day on ANY project! So while looking around the blogging world I saw this wonderful sketch from the ladies at Once Upon a Sketch and  knew I had to join in!!
I was needing a page for my November calendar and this was perfect for my photo of our treasures while at the Gorge back in Aug.

I don't think I've ever seen the pool at the Basin empty so this was a fun time for all. Can you see just how different each one of my darlings are "acting?" I say acting but they were just being themselves. Hannah and Sophia where pretending to have a sword fight with some drift wood, Esther was just dancing around, Sapphire walking the width of the pool and Zeke, well he was just enjoying the sunshine!!
While making this page Sophia wanted to do some scrapping too so she joined in on the sketch and came up with this page of our sweet fluffy member of the family!

We both LOVED working with this sketch, I think it will be one I'll go back to again!
Thanks heaps for popping by and seeing our take on the challenge!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #36 - Embossing

I don't know about you but it certainly is starting to feel a lot like Christmas..... just the knowing that there is that wonder and fun filling the air is getting me quite excited!! SO with a new challenge at Perfectly Rustics I was in need of a Christmas card!! What better way to get some embossing done than on a fancy card.......

I went with putting ink into my embossing folder and then rolling it through my Big shot so I got this wonderful colour print on my card stock! LOVE the look and when topped with some JOY wood embellishments from the Project Life Hello December pack and gorgeous Cherry cobbler ribbon (available in the Mini.) I even added some stitching while I had my machine out which topped it all off nicely!!
Can't wait to make some more of these special cards ready to post in a couple of weeks!!! YAY!
Do join with us at Perfectly Rustics for our embossing challenge, be super to see what embossing you love to do!

CASE-ing the Catty : Colour challenge #14

We are up to our last challenge for the year at CASE-ing the Catty! Yeap, challenge #15 will be next year, just in time for the super Sale-a-Bration!!! (wow that will be FUN!)

So Bron has organized a colour challenge for our last one, taking colours from the groovy Washi tape on page 28. I have to admit that these colours all together when in MY HANDS just weren't working like I waned!!! GRRRRR, but that's why they call it a challenge so with only 3 of the colours I CASED the sketch of the card which is also on page 28 (that Visions of Santa's cool card!!)

I have a few new goodies... YAY! Like the Star framelits, 25 days stamp set, Many Merry Stars and the Hello December Project Life Accessory Pack Washi tape... LOVE .... both of these available in the Extra special Christmas brochure.

Ohh and when my eyes spotted the little golden star clip on the Tree Christmas card (page 24) I HAD to get some of those too!! (Basic Hodge Clips $11.95)

When I asked my children what they thought of the card they said
"It's a great Male 25th birthday card Mum, good colours and the stars are cool too!!"
They were quite surprised when I told them it was actually a Christmas card..... Oh well!! I like how it turned out!! Hope you can join with us for our final challenge for the year,

Just Add Ink challenge #238 Add a sketch

I happened to have some crafting time on my hands over the long weekend and with some fun challenges to play with and cards needed I jumped in! Just Add Ink ALWAYS have the most wonderful challenges and this week is a simple sketch! YAY! WOW it works in soo many different ways, as you may have noticed I've flipped the sketch on the side and created this simple Christmas card.
Oh how I love that little typed greeting!! It's from the Project Life Hello December Accessory Pack! LOVE!!! And the DSP is currently available in the Mini (page 22) All is Calm Specialty, sooo nice!
I'm super happy with how this card turned out.... considering I've not even used a Christmas stamp! I've not used my Mosaic Madness stamp set much but I get the feeling that I'll be inking it up a lot more for some more Christmas wonder!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #35 - Sewing

One of the only reasons I bought my sewing machine was to sew on my cards, so I'm pretty excited to be pulling it out for Perfectly Rustics 35th challenge! Let's see what you do with sewing!!
I needed a seriously wonderful thank you card so got to work with some of my fav things.... notice the feathers!! (hee hee) glitter, layers and there you go.

I even stamped on the inside... YAY! The little heart stamp is from the "another thank you" stamp set which is featured on the inside, the greeting on the front from "From your Heart."

I had loads of fun with this card design so whipped up another one while I was at it!

"Sew" what do you think?? Hoping to inspire you to stitch up some crafting fun and join with us,
