Paper Dolls stamp Club {March 2013} - Chalkboard technique

You may have seen it, in fact I'm sure you have..... that is the very popular Chalkboard Technique!!
Ohhhh how I love this technique, it really is very effective and very cool.... and..... well no wonder everyone wants to do it!! SO super easy!!!
For this month at my Paper Dolls stamp club I demonstrated these two cards. This first one I actually cased from the "stampin up lady" herself... Shelli!!! HERE. It's using the new Sale-a-bration set Vintage Verses.

There are a few different ways of doing the chalkboard tech, I prefer using white embossing powder and a white craft ink pad for the "rubbings out"

 

You can also colour the embossing with water colour pencils to make it look like the coloured chalk signs you see in cafes and the like! My wonderful girls loved this look and are keen to try it again themselves!
