I can't believe that we are at the end of another month! In saying that I'm in need of a new page for November on my "loo" calender!! Where better place to go for some quick inspiration but.....
JAI!!! I Love this sketch by Deyls and with this amazing photo of 2 of our sweet children (a few years back) it all came together in just under an hour!!! YAY!
So here is my page
Now for some close ups.....
The DSP is retired with some current ribbon, and other embellishments (groovy arrow from the new Thinlits, postage stamps from the Hostess goodies!!)
I hope you like my take on the challenge, I certainly will LOVE looking at it each time I need the "ladies!"

Just Add Ink #188 - Grunge {using the Thinlits}
When you see Grunge in a challenge then you need to join in I reckon!! And so join in I have!!! Just Add ink's latest challenge is all about the messy, the NOT prim and proper, it's all about one of my favourite looks in creating!!! YAY!
SO with the new Thinlits in hand (thanks again Kim for your amazing gift of letting me borrow your stuff!!) I got to work on a grungy Christmas card! The front....
and then flip it and you see the middle!!
I really liked the flow on from the Hello lovely (one of my other favourite things I say) to the Merry Christmas on the flip side (which I hand wrote!)
Take note of those stamp sets (Hello lovely, Gorgeous Grunge & Ornament Keepsakes) as they are ALL on the 25% off list but only till tomorrow!!!! BARGAIN indeed!! The DSP is the paper stack in the mini called Winter frost!! Makes Christmas cards easy peasy!
Well I hope you like my take on the challenge! Thanks heaps for popping by!!

Rev up the Fun pop-up card
As promised I have some more pop-up cards to show you! This one is Ezekiel's birthday card using the Rev up the Fun stamp set (which is actually Kim's!! she kindly let me be the first to use it!! Thanks heaps Kim!)
I made the front very simple and then created a ramp for the car on the inside! I used some window sheeting to make it look like the car was jumping through the air! FUN!!
Needless to say Zeke loved it and was very happy to think I used his idea of the ramp (something he thought up for his bunting we made together!) Hope your weekend is starting off to be a great one!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #9 Use DSP {with a pop-up extra!}
Kicking off another challenge at Perfectly Rustics we are wanting to see you do some fancy stuff with Designer series paper!! I've been playing around with it lately making candles, so this is my card for this challenge
It's actually Sapphire's birthday card, she has just turned one! (read more about that HERE) and the DSP I used is the Birthday Basics pack. Just cut yourself a 2 1/2" by 2" piece of paper, roll it over your bone folder to soften it and then roll it up! (kinda like you're making a smoke I've been told!! hee hee) Then adhere the end down and squish it a little along the seem. Place your next bit of sticky strip on the back and place it on your project!! Easy!
Inside it has a pop-up, to be something a bit more special for our now one year old!! I do hope you can join in on the fun at Perfectly Rustics this time, we would LOVE to see your wonderful work!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #8 - Water colour
Time for another challenge and this time is all about water colouring! So get out your blender pens or aqua painters and show us what you can do! Here is my take on the challenge.........
I wanted to create a groovy background like that in the Catty (page 79 for those of you playing at home!) I made this card for a dear friend who recently moved to the mainland, she is a mighty faithful woman and I'm very blessed to call her friend!
I'm having lots of fun playing with the Apothecary accents too at the moment, they seem to be popping up in all my creations lately! Be sure to check out the other fabbo projects at Perfectly Rustics and join in!

Perfectly Rustics #7 challenge - embossing
I've had to do lots of scrapping for my son's album and with that came lots of challenges to enter!! SO with the recent Perfectly Rustics challenge on embossing I thought I'd show you another idea of what you can do!
Have you ever embossed on a photo??? A bit tricky YES but can be done!! Just be careful that you don't get it too hot or the picture will bubble (you'll see a bit of that in my pic!) I borrowed the Lovely as a Tree set and was super keen to get that inked up, I love the look of them for my background in this page. I've also used some vellum to create the "wood" look and then some retired DSP which was one of my favourites way back when........
I hope you have time to play with us over at Perfectly Rustics, be super great to see what you come up with!

Scrap & Music Sketch #11
I came across this great scrapping site Scrap & Music when popping in on my very clever scrapping friend Amanda's blog only a short time ago!! Now they are up to sketch 11 and this time it's with one of my all time FAVOURITE songs!!! Sweet child of mine!! Soooo love this song!
So with some more pages and much inspiration needed to complete Zeke's album I turned to it straight away..... of course it's "singing" about a girl but I went outside the box and highlighted the bit I could make it for a boy page!!
Here are some close ups.....
I really am happy with the finished page, in fact it's one of my fav's in the album!! YAY!Thanks ladies for your AWESOME page ideas, I'll be sure to play along again next time, as I hope you do too!

Creative Scrappers Sketch #251
I'm madly doing a "Your First 10 years" album for my Son's birthday which is now only 2 more sleeps away!! I think I'm getting there..... not yet looked at what I still have to do but enjoying the what I'm doing right now part!!!
SO with lots of pages to do and design I've looked at some sketches for some inspiration!!
This one from Creative Scrappers is wonderful and fun and perfect for this picture of Ezekiel and Hannah.
I'm only doing 8"x8" size pages so the title is a wee bit smaller than on the sketch but I'm super happy with how it's come up!!
The paper featured here (and gorgeous colour combo) is the Venetian Romance DSP with the new buttons from the brights family. The stamp set used is Lovely Romance!
