We really live in such an amazing world.....
nature wise that is! So full of wonders where ever you look, the setting sun, frosty mornings, spring bulbs starting to peer their delicate faces and one of my favourites - the bare trees!!
In thinking of that I held a stamp-a-stack last Thursday with the theme of winter. I wanted to capture some of Winter in a card.... how would you do that? Layers came to mind firstly, after all we need them to keep toasty. Then warm colours need to take part, chocolates and reds are wonderful company.
I also like to reminisce about the change of seasons,Springs blossom beauty, Summer's green glow, Autumns leaf delight and of course Winters bareness.
The night was a cold outside but inside - hearts were warm with laughter, smiles and conversation with the other wonderful stampers in the room. What a truly special night it was! All thanks to the fabulous ladies who came!!
Hugs and smiles to each one of you this Winters eve

Just Add Ink Challenge #27
I'm here to show you really quickly the card I made for my uncle's 50 birthday coming up on Friday!!
This is one of the sets that stampin' up. have 20% off at the moment but only till SATURDAY!!
So here is the sketch from the talented ones over at JUST ADD INK
Just before you see it, I'm really sorry for the bad picture!!! My precious daughter has been playing with my camera (which I hadn't realized!!) and some how mucked up the exposure!!! So the card is now in the post and not able to be re-taken! ARHHHH a little frustrating I must say....
I had some fun with the sentiment, a bit of a play on words (which say... a ripe old age)
Then I have a little close up of those scrummy pairs. I have used my markers to colour the seeds chocolate to add some detail.
Gota fly.....

Little peas from the same pod
Lately I've been looking at Esther and catching glimpses of past memories from what our other precious treasures did or looked like. It really is amazing to look back and see just how much a-like all our kiddies are, so I thought I'd share some old photo's with you too!
Other than the quality of my camera shots they are most certainly all
little peas from the same pod!
Hoping your day is full of sweet, warm memories

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #78
GOOD MORNING!!
It's a glorious fresh and sunny morning today!! How are you?? Wonderful and happy I hope!
Here is another card I made on Sunday that I wanted to show you before the challenge was over...
The sketch is from this lovely lady KAREN, she has a new one EVERY week so check it out if you'd like to play along too!!
I needed a baby card for my super wonderful friends Philip and Vanessa who have just had a precious little boy Luke, they now have two sweet little kiddies as Emma is the big sister! Because they live in Queensland I had the idea of the presents being carried by balloons across the waters and land to get to them! (of course I didn't trust this form of delivery and went with Australia post instead! but the thought was wonderful!!!)
The background was done by tearing out cloud like shapes and then brayering over the top with different shades of blue! Each time I moved the clouds to add some depth to the sky! I LOVE how it's turned out!!
Well best be off, kiddies to feed, Husband's lunch to cut and of course shower to have!!!
Hope you have a super duper weekend!!! Look forward to catching up with you again soon,
Smiles Sharnee :0)

Just Add Ink Challenge #26
It's all about EMBOSSING over at the Just Add Ink site and you can be sure that there will be some OUTSTANDING cards and projects being entered!!! (I wonder if Heather might join in.... it's her favourite technique!! HELLO BUDDY!!)
So yesterday I did have some time to play and here is my challenge card....
One of my all time favourite colours is the classic Basic Grey! (that and Kraft never run out in my cupboard!!)
I then was thinking of a wallpaper pattern and repeating some kind of design..... ummm.... Circle circus came to mind!
There isn't a circle in that set that I don't like! Of course there's plenty of them that I absolute LOVE and two of those made the cut for this card!
I just clear embossed the grey filigree circle and then white embossed the little one! Add a greeting from the MUST HAVE basic phrases, a little bit of hardware and there you have it!
I'm really happy with this card it's simple but striking too! Hope the ladies over at JAI love it!
I managed to get some other cards made on Sunday too, just need time to post them so keep an eye out you never know when I'll be back!!
Have a wonderful week,

Celebrating 3 years of stamping fun! WHOO HOO!
Hello all my lovely friends!!
I've soooo missed being here and chatting with you, hopefully now that things have settled down I'll be visiting you all regularly again!!
I've had a great week (which is wonderful after the last few!) as on Monday I officially celebrated my 3rd year anniversary of becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!!! YAY! YAY! YAY!!
I had one of my wonderful stamp clubs on that night and a little birdie (in the shape of my super husband - he, he) had contacted Vanessa to tell her! Well that's all this group of fabulous ladies needed.....
(from left: Anna-Maree, Donna, Vanessa, Tammy & Belinda.
Anna is also part of this group but couldn't make it!)
I was completely blessed, and overwhelmed with the love, warmth and shower of gifts that followed!!
I took some photo's so you too could enjoy in the festivities!!!
I was also given a birdie necklace which I forgot to take a picture of!!
I can honestly say that being a SU demo lady is one of the most rewarding things I've EVER DONE!!!! For it all started in 2007 when I first received an invite, it was screaming EVERYTHING that I loved.... CRAFT!! I couldn't wait to get there!! Then after that I HAD to get to any party I could!!! Soon I was asked by Amanda if I'd like to join..... ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
I held my first few workshops and was hooked from there!
The bestest part (other than earning $$, and getting awesome stampin products at a discount!) is the wonderful, amazing, beautiful, fabulous, super, gorgeous, talented, special people that have touched my life!! I have the most AWESOME group of friends now, stunning ladies and their families that have become part of my every day life! Life without them would be..... well.... sad!!!
If you have EVER thought of joining the Stampin' UP! family then I would encourage you to jump on in!!! You'll LOVE it!!! The latest promo is available for only 16 more sleeps..... it's an absolute bargain price for the starter kit, so think about it, talk it over with your buddies and sign up today!!!
Have a delightful Thursday!!
Smiles and Hugs

... as time goes by...
I can honestly say that the last 2 weeks have been a real journey for me and my family! We have had cold's and flu's, Esther of which has suffered the worst, fridge blow up's (where we lived out of our super WAECO car fridge for a week, and the deck where we had all our other fridgy like items in the cool of the Winter air! he he!) our wood fire has a hole in it (which was not allowing the heat to really do it's thing) so now, as of yesterday we have a HEAT PUMP, my cat was in a rather large fight where she tore some of her ear and the big one was our special step-father had a major stroke and has been in ICU for 12 days now......
......and so the time has gone by......
As you can imagine when you're put through that sort of thing you certainly learn your strengths and weaknesses!!
In all of that, this was one of my most wonderful and special moments
It brought the biggest smile to my face and warmed my heart immensely!! Zeke reading a book to his 3 amazing sisters.....
I hope and pray that your weeks have been a little brighter, or at the least that you've been able to see the sunshine through the stormy clouds,
Hugs Sharnee :0)
