Hello!! WOW what a day, actually what a week!!! It has been one of those ridiculously busy ones, though so much fun with socializing each day and hanging out with beautiful people. I've had 3 workshops this week, one of which i have tonight, I'm not even sure how I've managed to have time to post this blog... kids are watching a DVD and tea is in the oven so perhaps...well I'm not complaining!!
We were invited to a party yesterday, one of our home school buddies who was turning 6. It was a wonderful relaxed party at the Punchbowl with yummy cake, and kids running around having fun. So i thought that I'd show you the card i made. It's certainly not the original design that i had in mind, it was going to be a scratch n' sniff with the Big Bold Birthday set but instead i went with this one pictured, which i really like. All time fav Real Red with the cool Wild wasabi and Blue Bayou look so great together!! I think Casey liked it... if not I'm sure that his gorgeous Mum (who is a card maker) will appreciate it!!
Have a super weekend, will post again next week,

Baby Thankyou's
I went to my niece's baby shower on the weekend. It was a wonderful time of laughter and fellowship with family and a whole bunch of people who I'd never met!I racked my brain trying to think what I'd get Bridget for their little one and then it came to me.... THANK YOU CARDS!! Everyone needs to send thank you cards after receiving beautiful gifts, (especially after your first.) So I sat down Saturday night and happily designed and stamped 25 thank you cards!! YEAH!! :) It was so much fun and I love the cards, they're so cute!! Bridget was very impressed (as were some of her friends) what a wonderful warm fuzzy!!
Hope all is great for you all, thanks to those of you who have checked out my blog, really appreciate it!! (don't forget to leave a comment)

My FIRST Colour Inspiration Challenge
One of my FAV sites to go and visit is the lovely and very talented Kristina Werner. Every week she has these AMAZING Colour Inspiration Challenges which any one can enter. Of course you can use these great colour combo's for your own personal projects, but now that i have a blog i was so excited to think that i could actually enter. The amount of entries that she receives is really quite outstanding, and such an inspiration in itself, so now it's my turn! YAY!!
The Colours that Kristina used for Colour Inspiration Challenge #42 are:
Really Rust, More Mustard, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.
I needed to use Old olive to replace the Kiwi Kiss, I'm sure that will be one of our "in colours" when the new cat comes out in APRIL! :0)
I used bleach to create the background! What a cool technique!! I made the flower piece at Amanda's one night when we were playing around, it was sooooo much fun!!
Here's my card...
Stamp set: Spring Solicitude
Ink: More Mustard, Really Rust & Old Olive
(I used markers for the bird and branch)
Card stock: More Mustard, Really Rust and Whisper White
Acc: Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon, Scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch and bleach (to create background)

BUSHFIRE APPEAL
It would be hard to imagine just how life has changed for so many people living in Victoria in these last 2 weeks. What an amazing thing we have witnessed as we've seen first hand the power of love and human kindness that has been poured out with the BUSHFIRE APPEAL. I know there are many companies and organisations that have raised funds for such a worthy cause. I myself donated $$ after my Valentine's stamp-a-stack and have still been moved to do much more!! Stampin' Up! have also got a special list of beautiful stamp sets that they are donating all profits from the selling of these sets to the bushfire appeal!! You can check it out at the customer homepage www.stampinup.com.au These sets will be on the retired list as of march so it's first in best dressed if you'd like any of them! Some are my personal favourites including Baroque Motifs and Priceless. If you'd like to know more or would like to place an order please let me know. May we in the mean time continue to lift those who have been affected, in whatever way, up in prayer.

THE JOYS OF COOKING!
Look at my precious children! They're so adorable, oh how i love them so :0) With my stamp-a-stack on tonight we've been baking lots of heart shaped biscuits...YUMMY!! I went with 2 new recipes, one of which my son Ezekiel has been asking me to make for at least 6 months but we never have all the ingredients!! So this time i made sure we did and we gave them a whirl! They are called Lebkuchen, a spice biscuit from German and Austrian origin which they traditionally serve at Christmas time but it does say in my Women's Weekly Big book of Beautiful Biscuits that they are great at any special occasion. So Valentine's day was the occasion and wow they are soooooooooooooooo yummy!!!! Anyway we had to coat the back with chocolate and so my kiddies were more than happy to help with that!!
Don't we all wish we could happily eat as much chocolate as we liked without feeling guilty?!? To be kids again!! I couldn't resist posting a pic of them enjoying every lick of the spoon, knife, bowl and what ever they could find with chocolate on it!! :0)

As it's the beginning of a new day, and with all that's going on at the moment with floods and bush fires i just wanted to say that... well... even though i live in Tassie and seem to not be able to do much, that we (my family and i) are praying for all involved in these terrible events. I know it doesn't seem much but i believe in the power of prayer and hope you see the sunshine again coming in through the clouds surrounding you very soon.

I'm testing to see if i can put up a card.
Let's see...
I used
Stamp set: Bundle of Joy.
Cardstock: River rock, Blue Bayou, Groovy gauva and
watercolour paper.
Acc: Scallop edge punch, crop-a-dile, wide vanilla ribbion.
It was to match a adorable little giraffe that was hand made by one of the ladies in my stamp club Stephanie. We gave it to Phillip and Vanessa before the arrival of their precious little baby girl Emma, when Allan and I went over to visit them.
